Comfort Air was very efficient, knowledgeable, and quality of work was excellent. Their crew was like a finely tuned engine. The right people in the right place at the right time. I had a full AC, Heater, and new duct work done to perfection, at a decent price. Would gladly recommend them.

This review is based on my whole experience dealing with Comfort Advisors, from 2005 until now. Beginning in November 2005, I contracted Comfort Advisors (then operated as Sol Mechanical) to install a completely new central heating/air conditioning system, manufactured by American Standard. The total cost was $7250. The following summer (2006), I noticed that the A/C did not run as expected and contacted Comfort Advisors. They diagnosed the problem as "due to high pressure" in the system and corrected it. I got through that summer fine. The next summer (2007), around late August/early September the A/C started to struggle to maintain 78 deg inside the house. For several days the indoor temperature got to as high as 89 deg (this was at 11 pm)! Again, Comfort Advisors diagnosed the problem as due to wrong system pressure and recharged the system. This took care of the problem until around April 2008, when I had the same problem with the A/C unit again. This time, Comfort Advisors diagnosed the problem as faulty evaporator coil and TXV valve and replaced them. Then, in June 2008 (after the coil and valve had been replaced), the A/C again struggled to maintain acceptable temperature inside the house, where it got to as high as 82 deg when the thermostat setting was at 78 deg. Comfort Advisors subsequently performed another service to the A/C unit, and it ran OK until the summer of 2013, when I noticed the A/C starting to struggle again. This time, Comfort Advisors diagnosed a leak in the system, so they recharged it and added some "Stop Leak" chemical to repair the leak. They charged me $400 for the work. The A/C ran OK until summer 2016. At this point, I called a different HVAC company to service my A/C and they did another recharge and "Stop Leak", for $375. In May of this year, I had yet another recharge and "Stop Leak" performed on the sytem, but that lasted only until July. Finally, I contracted a reputable HVAC company in South OC to look at my A/C condenser unit and they found multiple leaks within it. I paid $3700 to replace the A/C unit. So long story short, I invested over $7000 back in 2005 for a brand new system, which was a lot of money back then, and I expected that investment to last me at least 20-30 years. Instead, I had to pay over a thousand dollars worth of repair work, and in the end paid another $3700 to replace the A/C unit that was only 12 years old! In hindsight, I wish I had gone with a different contractor back in 2005!

Installation of a new furnace and air conditioning in the attic of our home was difficult, and they handled it with humor and with no damage to our home. Installation was quick, and it was more than $1000 cheaper than the next lowest bid.

Shah, handyman. I needed a gas wall heater repaired in one of my units. Called him, he came out ,worked on it and said he fixed it. The problem is,the next day it didn't work. Called him & asked him to make arrangements to meet with the tenant. Shah said he would meet with tenant after 3:00. Tenant left around 5:00. I called Shah and asked him if he would split Called Shad for wall heater repair. He fixed it, but the next next day it wouldn't work. Asked him to come & try fix it again and it never happen. I asked him if I could have half of my $120. back since the furnace wasn't fixed & he said NO. 4120

A new HVAC central system (Furnace/, A/C, Ducting) was installed preceeded by an attic Asbestos removal by AQHI company. When Coast Aire came to do an inspection they advised there was a leak in the coolant system. Garrett Crane when advised promptly sent a repair person from his company that found a pin hole sized hole that he repaired in the liquid line dryer and replaced the lost coolant in the system. The system now works perfectly. I would recommend this company to others.
