The work performed by Jose Martinez was of a such substandard quality that I had to file a complaint with the Registry of Contractors to force him to fix the work. The ROC validated my complaint and issued him a corrective order.

This project involved removing and replacing four sculptured beams on our second story balcony. Jose and his crew took great care in protecting the existing balcony and did a very professional repair. The four new beams were cut, chiseled, and painted so well that they are indistinguishable from the other beams. Solid Foundation is a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend them.

Refinished my front door and some gates. Requested they do some additional work on it before finishing it - probably a bit picky on my part. Did the work in a timely manner. Final product looks good.

They were very professional and courteous. They came when scheduled and knew exactly what do to accomplish the work. They also had to remove the metal security door to take the sliding glass off its track and repair/replace the two rollers.

overall a good job. There was a minor opening over the inside door that was filled with sheetrock, but should have been filled with brick or concrete.

He did a poor job on a wall that he repaired. He did not follow through on it when I told him about it. He said he was too busy and would come by when he had time. He never came back. I waited with patience and did not want to pressure him.

Nice guy but quality of work is evident. Not a good value for the money. Agreed to requirement then showed up with wrong items, stating items requested not available at dealer. Never called to state such, just showed up at jobsite with poor quality items. Installation was of poor quality also. Have called back to repair origial storm door installation. Must call again to repair storm door install... door is sagging and will not close poperly.

I had to move out of a rental due to PCS orders. I marked every spot that needed repairs. He reviewed the areas, said 3 hrs/$30 a hr. He was there 3+ hrs; didn't finish 1/2 the work; he took break after break. He wanted another hr, but I paid him for 3 and asked him to leave. When I inspected, he hadn't done 2 of the 3 main areas I asked him about: toilet paper holder (he didn't do anything) and stairway side rail (he spackled it and didn't finish). I was leaving the next day for military training and was very short on time and wasted my time with him. The rental company will be keeping some of my security deposit to hire a REAL handyman...

Apparently the contractor did not understand what I wanted him to do. Unfortunately I had to leave town during the time he completed the job. I did not notice the exact wording on the bid he submitted and as a result he did not do the job as we discussed. In the future I will be more careful hiring someone who does not understand what I want done. The price he quoted was quite high considering he did not complete the entire process we discussed.

Prompt service

Jose was prompt in giving a bid and quick in finishing the task. As a remodeler we will use him for everything needing repair in our home. The peace of mind in being able to use the same company for electrical, plumbing and everything else is terrific.

This company did an excellent job on baseboards and crown mouldings. They were courteous, on time, and cleaned up after the job was complete. I would hire them again.
