$3,450
I do believeTim is a good guy and the work that he did finish was well done, however his price fluctuated wildly and his billing was sketchy at best. We met at the job site and he checked everything out and he called me a couple hours later with a quote. According to him, he could demolish my building for $1500, plus the haul away fee. The haul away fee was $100 per truck load and he said it would take between 10 and 12 truckloads to haul everything away so the total would be $2500-$2700. That was a good price in my opinion. Sadly, it did not hold up. He soon called back and needed to add $300 to the price for permits and insurance costs. I expected a business to include these costs in the initial quote, but I accepted the increase and said go ahead with the job. The next day, Tim began work and decided to purchase a dumpster instead of using a truck for haul away. He did a nice job taking the building down, but because he had to overfill the dumpster, I had to pay an additional $250. The kicker is that he could not fit all the debris in the dumpster, so I had to agree to either pay an additional $600 for another dumpster or finish the job myself. I decided to finish myself, so now I have to take off 3-4 trailer loads of junk, which will cost me approximately an additional $200. His quote of a high of $2700 for a complete job, turned into a cost of $3250 for a partial job. On my receipt, he charged me $2100 for labor, instead of the $1500 he had earlier stated. Honestly, if he would have done a complete job, I could have lived with the cost, but the lack of completion coupled with the large dollar increase left me feeling like Tim took advantage of me. I was quite disappointed because Tim seemed like a good guy and he is a preacher to boot. It just makes one wonder about the world sometimes.
