This was my first time using Home Advisor. The young man came with all his ladder and bucket supplies. He went right to work on roof cleaning, then gutters. He asked me to show him my green Yard Waste trash container. He filled it with all debris removed from roof & gutters. He even returned my green Yard Waste container to back alley where it is kept. Truly a joy to have a job done as advertised with no hidden fees or steps left out when I wasn't looking

I hired Sound Window & Gutter Cleaning to clean my roof and gutters and to apply a protective coating to the roof. The work they did was good. But the final bill came out at over twice what they had bid for the job. The roof cleaning alone was more than 3X what they bid. If I had known that they would bid one thing and charge me another, I would never have hired them.

I also hired them to clean my gutters. They quoted me a total price for the gutters. Then later added tax to the price of cleaning the gutters. Customer service would not stand by the original quote. I also had to clean up the debris left on my roof and patio from the gutters.

"Tax is required for all exterior cleaning services other than window cleaning due to how the state law is written. I apologize if this was not communicated clear on the phone as is usually inferred in most transactions as retail or sales tax. Our policy is to follow through on every job and if anything is missed return free of charge. In the rare event something is missed we are happy to follow through if communicated to us. I am sorry for your experience."
