Surveillance Cameras Install or Repair
The guy Greg Solis is the worst service guy I've ever met. He installed a new camera for our office. We paid him labor and camera. The camera only has live video. But the camera does not log any footage. The other 3 cameras installed by another service provider work and log all the footage. Only his camera does NOT log at all. Now we have a break-in burglar with 2 broken windows at exactly the location of his camera and we have no video footage. When we called him to fix this. He said, "I am only responsible to install the camera. I am not responsible for the logging." What is the use of a security camera if it does not log footage?? Obviously when he installed the camera, he did NOT even set it up for logging. He charged us for setting up the logging for sure. He cheated and he denied his responsibility. We paid him for both the camera and the labor to make it work. It does NOT work. And he is very rude. He walked away from us. Do NOT use him.

Greg is highly knowledgeable. He debugged my issue and fixed it quickly at a reasonable price. I highly recommend him. I had previously used the company that installed my system. Their technician did not seem to understand what he was doing, wanted to sell me something I didn't need, and made my false alarm issue worse. Greg got it right. Call him first!

My smoke detector batteries were low and the alarm was going off spontaneously. I used the Home Advisors app and for Source 2 Security. The owner, Greg Solis, was at my home within 90 minutes and took care of the problem for $125. That was a very fair price and the service was really excellent.

Mr. Solis was hired to repair an alarm keypad. He said that the cost would be $170 if the system only needed new batteries and the cost would be $375 if the entire keypad needed to be replaced. He diagnosed the problem on March 19th and determined that the batteries needed to be replaced. For this service he was paid $170. Early the next morning after the repair, the keypad started to beep loudly at 1 am. Mr. Solis was called later that morning to fix the problem. He said that he couldn't respond until the next day so we had to tolerate that beeping all day and through another night. When he showed up on March 21st he said that he had not changed all of the batteries on his first visit. He changed the remaining batteries and said that there is a $75 fee for responding again even though the system obviously wasn't properly repaired the first time. He only accepts cash and we weren't expecting to be charged again. We had $55 which he accepted but would not give a receipt for. That evening the system began BEEPING AGAIN. Mr. Solis was called and he now says that the keypad needs to be replaced. He wants to charge an additional $375 even though he's already been paid $205 and has not fixed the problem. I would not recommend his services.

"The security system I repaired is a Honeywell Lynx (self contained system). Upon arrival the security system was powered down, and customer did not have the code to the system. I defaulted the system to reset the code, reprogrammed the sensors, replaced batteries that were showing low battery and advised the customer that all the batteries should be replaced even if they are not showing low battery because of the age of the system (for an additional charge of course). I tested the system. The system was working fine when I left, the customer even armed the system and tested the system herself. I returned two days later to replace additional sensor batteries and charged the customer trip charge only not the battery cost. Six days later customer calls me to say that the system is beeping again and I take the time to troubleshoot over the phone and determine that the systems main battery is failing because the alarm panel is no longer charging the back-up battery. I advised customer that the panel should be replaced, and she tells me that I should replace it for the same price, even though I had originally quoted her $375.00 to replace the unit. My company warranties the work we do, but we do not warranty equipment we don't install. My company accepts checks, credit cards, and cash. We have a large customer base and high reviews. I would be more then happy to replace your panel for an additional $170.00 plus $55.00 trip charge. Greg Solis SOURCE 2 SECURITY"
