South Eastern Sprayfoam

What can I say, Kevin who heads up Southeastern Spray Foam is the best. I had several companies quote retrofitting my home with spray foam before I met with Kevin. The prices were wildly variant! Some much more expensive, some similar and I did have 2 less than him. But I felt very confident in his experience, guidance and his personal integrity in running an ethical business with assured quality in their outcomes. Glad I worked with him, I am very happy with the outcome. I had blown in cellulose in the attic and as I had an upstairs HVAC & ducting also in the attic, as the cellulose degraded, the extra dust it generated was being picked up by HVAC system and circulating into my living space. This was significantly degrading my indoor air quality. Southeastern removed all the cellulose (huge, huge, labor intensive job) and then retrofitted my attic with spray foam. The outcome? Much improved interior temperature control -big reduction in utility costs- as well as much more consistent indoor humidity levels - bringing the hvac system into the conditioned building envelope meant it no longer had to compete against the hot, humid attic air and was no longer pushing moist air into the living areas. Additionally, incredible improvement in the air quality, reduction in dust and overall home comfort greatly improved. Happy every day with the investment in installing spray foam and very happy with the services from Kevin Pope & Southeastern Spray Foam.

Kevin was by far the most knowledgable person we talked to. He was attentive, did everything he said he would do and then some. He even stopped by to check the work of the crew. The crew was also amazingly polite and had a real level of expertise which was refreshing. I very minor repair of some drywall in our master bath was necessary as a result of the process. He sent someone out quickly to take care of it free of charge of course. I can't recommend these guys enough if you are looking for spray insulation.

Mr. Kevin Pope is very experienced with sprayfoam. He explained the entire process from taking out the old insulation to applying the foam. The recommended inches of foam to apply (Kevin exceed the inches),to the ventilation improvement through out my home. Kevin told me what would improve energy efficiency throughout my home. My attic and bonus room is so comfortable. . Last but not least my electric bill amount has decrease!!!!

Handsdown this was the best investment we have made to our house!! I can't say enough about how happy we are with the quality of work done, the results, the professionalism, attentional to detail, and customer service. We have an older home with a metal roof and our upstairs is always several degrees hotter than our downstairs. We also had some issues with our AC lately and between the two, it got so hot upstairs we couldn't even use the bedrooms up there. Literally within 24 hours of having the sprayfoam insulation done our temperature upstairs was regulated. Before, when we would walk up our staircase it felt like you were going up a chimney, now we can walk upstairs and there is NO temperature change!! Kevin and his crew were amazing and I would recommend them to anyone who is thinking about getting sprayfoam done. We have already noticed a difference in how often our AC is running, and I know we will see an immediate difference in our bills. We are planning on having them come back out and do our crawlspace in the near future.

I contacted several spray foam contractors for quotes. South Eastern was the most knowledgeable and explained spray foam options in terms I understood. While they were not the cheapest or the most expensive, they were chosen based on their through inspection of area to be insulated and pointing out areas others missed.

I do not feel the company follows up with there subs enough. Had a problem with what I felt was not the correct job I was promised. I was shown photos of foamed walls and was advised my job would be as that and it would be a one day job with a large crew. Did not happen and after three days of showing the sub what was expected, I got an attitude from him (What do you want me to do for you, my come back was Do Your Job) then he tried to can foam the job and still did not complete the job. My job Forman ask him why he did not finish the job and he got mad at him also. I even gave the crew a $250.00 tip to try to get the job complete to my satisfaction(waste of money). At this point I have paid my Forman and bought the necessary foam kits to complete the job in the bathroom so we can get the bathroom job finished. With this said, I feel I got a good job in the roof. Some arrears are thin but with this sub, I guess that is the way they work. The money spent on the complete job was $10,810.00. Of this $1110.00 was spent on the bathroom foam. With hindsight, maybe I should have done more research, gone to some of there job sights and not paid before the job was complete. As every one knows it is hard to work at your day job, over see your home job and get what you are promised. I did voice my concerns to the company, was ask to send photos, but have not heard any thing back from them. I feel the company needs to check on the subs and assist with any problems to get the jobs completed to satisfy the customer. Do not base your job on my job. Get a hands on company to oversee the sub and have some one check them on the finish work. I do believe the company, South Eastern Spray Foam is a good company, I just got the wrong sub and did not get the job supervision I felt was necessary.
