South Metro Construction Company, LLC

This was a basement remodel. The proposal is signed and dated 8/17/2022 by Eric on letterhead SMC South Metro Construction and returned signed by me the same date. Completion date was 10/30/2022. The problem was not the quality of work but actually getting the work done. We went through the whole song and dance of many promises not kept and weeks where nobody showed up or worked on the basement. By 01/04/23, I'd had enough. The final step (quartz countertop installation) to be completed was pulled from the contract by me because he had 4-1/2 months to get it done and it had not even been ordered. He made a demand for final payment (minus the countertop) and I sent him about a dozen pictures of unfinished projects. He then completed those in several days and final payment was 01/27/2023. However, when the quartz installers came to put it in on 02/23/2023, it was discovered that the cabinets Eric had installed were never leveled. I contacted Eric by phone so he could also talk with the quartz installers. Eric stated someone would be out on 03/01/23 to fix it. I e-mailed Eric on 02/28/23 to confirm - he said they had other things to do and he would get back to me. I questioned him on 03/06/23, on 03/07/23 he replied he'd get back to me. On 03/09/23 I asked again, he replied he would get back to me. On 03/10/23 I asked if we would be getting someone the following week - yep, again, he will get back to me. I gave him a whole week to "get back to me," and surprise - he didn't. There was that whole song and dance again, so now I don't believe a word he says . This project has been hanging on for 7 months and since he's been paid in full he doesn't seem interested in completing it. He had reiterated to me several times that it is warrantied for one year.

The team at South Metro Basements couldn't have delivered a more exceptional job if they tried. I hired them to do a remodel on my basement after purchasing our new home. From the quote, the timeliness of the job itself, and most importantly the customer service, I couldn't have asked for a better overall experience. I'd recommend them to anyone!

Talk about fantastic service and attention to detail! Eric is a pleasure to work with from design to finish. He is very in tune with every aspect of basement finish. When you want a great quality and fair price he is your guy. Eric is very effective and efficient on making sure you get what you want at the price that will make you feel complete. He strives to take care of every single detail. I needed a quick turnaround and he made it happen. I would never choose a different company to do the work he did. The best part is his company is a veteran owned and tan company. Nothing better than supporting a local veteran business in my mind! Eric and his crew have done a fantastic job with our basement. From start to finish, they were accommodating, honest, and hardworking. Enlisted South Metro to build out an office for me in the basement of our new house. Pretty talented group he has...they framed and built this thing out perfectly. And they were honest and direct about different ways to approach carpeting vs wood floors, paint, height, etc. Really gave me confidence in the work. We will for sure be going back to Eric for any future renovations/buildouts we do.

Absolutely horrible experience. The 250 sq foot basement remodel started in mid-June and is still only half way done. Eric promises things, he guaranteed the project would be done August 6, 2019. Today is December 31st. He received a great deal of money in June and August and still did not complete the work. I would highly discourage anyone from ever using this company.

Though I only received an estimate from Eric, I would definitely recommend South Metro Basement, Co. The estimate was extremely fair and really matched what I was expecting. The only reason I did not hire for the job was due to my schedule and time constraints.

A great company to work with. Everyone was very skilled. Eric was super responsive to my concerns. I felt like I was treated exceptionally well. They finished my basement. This was not a rushed job but was done with care.
