Rod KILLED it. We gave him only a very short window in which to do the work, which included both installing new hardwood floors and refinishing really nasty old ones. He not only met our tight deadlines but was very price competitive, fun to work with, showed up when he said he would - - and the floors look amazing! I can't recommend him and his crew enough. 7 stars!

Rod and crew do nice work.

Rod was very responsive, came out within a day to give me a quote and explain what would be done. The work (restoration of 60 year old floors that had been under walll to wall carpeting for 50 years) was done professionally and the results are exceptional. I am using a different contractor at my home (Rod did my mom's house that I am getting ready to put on the market). I only wish I had used Rod and Southern Connecticut for my home too. I would recommend this company to anyone who wants professional service, exceptional results and a reasonable price. Thank you Rod and thank you Home Advisor.

He kept rescheduling, later not sooner. He showed up later than he stated every day. Seemed in a hurry to finish work and move on. Never received anything in writing, not even a receipt for payment. Appeared to be training his helper on the job. Did not do a good job on the details, examples, clean-up (was going to leave his trash for me to dispose of) and edges, (which were not sanded properly, still rough spots.) Honestly, if I had had the time, I think I could have done the work as good myself. Considering he was more money than the other company I looked at, I do not feel the value for my money was great. I went with this company because he seemed to be a small operation, as opposed to a large company with multiple crews. Wanted to support the small business and hoped he might have more pride in his work than some work crew. If I have more work done I think I would give the other company a try, if I am disappointed with them, at least they charge less.

Rodney and his crew did an absolutely beautiful job refinishing our hardwood floors. All the damaged areas we thought would be an issue they took care of and our floors look amazing! They are very professional and very fairly priced. We highly recommend their services.

Professional, organized, did the work exactly as promised with minimum of mess, fuss, complication!

Rod communicates punctually and as often is necessary. He was able to come up with a fair price simply by giving him square footage and number of stairs. He arrived when he said he would and finished the job in a few days. I will be using him again for my next project and would definitely recommend him.

Very professional, came in and gave recommendation and estimate, was here when he said he would be, worked along side the men and was here to oversee the job. Floors came out beautifully. Would highly recommend.

After the floors dried we found over 4 missed areas on our floors that had no final finish applied and heavy swirl marks left behind caused by buffing with the wrong pad between coats. We hired another company to do the job correctly. Further more 2 twenty year old workers do most of the work so be prepared of work being done by very low experienced workers. The person who runs the company is hardly working in your home.

They were great -- came out quickly gave a price explained the process and came the following week and started/finished the job. They helped me in choosing the right stain and we are so pleased with the job.. Beautiful floors and they cleaned up well too

Fantastic results, not an easy job removing several coats of paint and getting into tight closet areas. Reasonable price, done on time!

Like the other reviews we give Rod and his team 5 Stars. Most important to us was that Rod and his workers were clear eyed, clean cut, and ready to work. No stoners or hung over workers. We felt real comfortable letting them into our home to work. And work they did. Arrived on time and did an excellent job, at an excellent price. It was my first time using Home Advisor - I was startled how well it went. Don't be shy about tipping these guys a few extra bucks, I did. They are worth it for the craftsmanship and peace of mind.
