Southern Touch Construction has presented complete and diversified services to clients in the state of Louisiana for almost 20 years. After the devastation of the 2005 storms on the Gulf Coast, we have relocated to the state of Maryland. During this time, we have constantly sought and developed new and better techniques for all your home improvement needs along with our touch of southern hospitality. I understand his business has suffered due to the Gulf storm, but he came to give and estimate and didn't have anything to let me know he was the person I contacted. Nothing with his business on it. And more importantly he could not give me a receipt. I accepted his bid for part of the work and the rest will be completed by someone else. I will hold my overall opinion untill then. He was very professional, explained what he was doing and why. My husband even learned a few tips. He also installed recessed lighting. I am going to get him to do more work and would highly recommend to my friends.

"Due to the fact the day I met with this customer I was the only one on the job, and in my jest to be accommodating I merely shut off the tools and went to meet this customer with fast friendly service..We loss a lot due to the storm.. but not our Southern hospitality, So yes I inadvertently forgot my uniform jacket,Didn't mean to leave the customer feeling vunerable.again My Deepest Apology"

They were knowledgeable, however our wall is not what we expected. Since the project, we have hired another company to look at re~doing some of the work.

They were scheduled for Saturday morning 9:30. At 10:30 I called since they hadn't arrived and they said they would be there at 2 pm. They called at 1:30 and said they would come sunday. They were scheduled for 800 sunday. At 9:30 I called since they hadn't arrived. They said they'd arrive by 10. I told them I needed to leave by 12 since i had plans and that's why we scheduled it for 8. They said they'd be done in time. They arrived at 10:45 and left at 2:45. Had to come back monday to finish and were scheduled for 8, but hadn't arrived by 9: rescheduled for 7 tuesday and they arrived at 7:45. Also, the workmanship was very subpar!

Yes it was a cheap rate and they were very nice people. However, professionally we were not impressed. They showed up late every single day. It took them twice as long as they said it would to get the job done and when it was finally done they left the place a total mess.

The owner of this company is committed to excellence due to the fine craftsmanship he has. He is very committed to the work he is doing no matter which job he is doing for the customer. He never seems to come unraveled at anytime and follows through until the completion of the job being done. His quality in his craftsmanship can be seen when has finished the job. For this reason I will continue to work with this company for all the rest of work to be done on our home. My request was to waterproof basement walls with minor motar repair. The good rating I gave was for the quality of work. Note: This company kept changing the dates and times of the start date (for personal reasons). My experience rating is fair and I would give them a recommendation to friend with precautions.
