Hire a reputable pro that you have heard about from friends and try to go the cheap route. As my wife had said and I also. It you going to do it. Do it right.

On numerous occasions the workers did not show up to work and when they did at no time did they work for more than a few hours. They installed the flooring and faucets that I had to go and buy on my own which cost me several hundred dollars. SKB installed the flooring, two toilets, installed a shower, small window, vent fans a light fixture, and the faucets I bought. It took them over 7 weeks to get the job finished. When it was all said and done I was charged $37,000. If I had it to do all over again I would not have chosen this company to do the job. I had other people who came to my home to do other work and two of them told me that they do the same type of work that SKB does and would not have charged me half that much and would have had the job done in no more than two weeks total with what they saw was done.

We worked with Cesar, Vera, Sergey, and Phillip. They were all professional, helpful, courteous, and a pleasure to work with. There were trials in completing a kitchen amid a pandemic, but because of their patience and expertise, we can cook at home now and ride out the quarantine in style (and with full bellies). Vera in particular was the most wonderful project manager. She was there at every turn solving problems for me. I don't think I could have gotten through this without her, she deserves a raise.

They can not give a schedule for completion. Work was not started for 6 months. It has been 9 months, and we are still waiting for the electrical and plumbing to be competed. I have spent 7 weeks and $100 going to the laundry mat because the dryer is not wired in. They farm out the work and I have to clean up afterwards. They come in for maybe 3 or 4 hours, and then I see no one for 3 or 4 weeks. Vera once told my husband she did not think we wanted it to be started before Christmas. Duh, will we have it done before next Christmas?

There were a lot of things that weren't done well and they didn't care about how the job look at the end

I couldn't be happier than I a with SKB. They made my dream come true. Everyone was so great to work with. Victor who saw my dream, Sarah who put it to paper, Vera and Pasha who were my project team, and all the wonderful guys who worked on my home. Whether it was the tile, cabinets, special shower door or my barn door they did everything I asked. They addressed every questions I had immediately and made it a fabulous experience. The quality and workmanship was beyond my expectations and I'd recommend them to my best friend. They were the best choice I could have made.

I give them 6 stars out of 5. Their on our list for our bathroom remodel. One stop remodeling.

This is an outstanding quality company. The General Contractor and his entire crew are extremely knowledgeable, skilled and experienced in all the trades. In addition they are personable while being professional and very trustworthy. Each area of the job was done with the highest quality and detail possible. I was extremely pleased with the outcome of the project. Great followup, always ensuring my expectations are being met. I highly recommend as these are Quality Professionals all around.

Hired SKB for a kitchen remodel - their Sales department was GREAT - very responsive, knowledgeable, and willing to work with us. That s where the **great** ended. Design was exceptionally slow and faulty: accepted designs included concepts they could not do. Perhaps one or two people performing work were actually SKB employees - little ownership = poor work: drawings were ignored and notes were overlooked constantly. Project Management was severely lacking: when we asked for schedule or other project-related information, SKB typically directed us to contact the contractor they hired. Item after item was incorrectly ordered, installed, re-ordered, re-installed, and still was wrong. My husband had to complete many tasks for them just to move forward - SKB gave us a small discount in recognition of that. A project that was promised to take 2-3 weeks by Sales and Program Management, took 6 months. The end product is beautiful, but so INCREDIBLY painful to get there. I would NOT hire SKB again.

The end product turned out well. However, their communication & organization skills, planning & timeline were awful. They don't use their own people for the work. I started my project with them January 2019 and it finally got completed September 2019. I had to really keep on them to get them to perform the work. I asked for a timeline of when the work would be getting done and never got a response. They had the house for 12 days & they only showed 3 days. My house was completely trashed to the point I couldn't get to my master bedroom, living room, or even open the front door more than a crack. The cabinets were not installed in the correctly and was going to cover the kitchen window, in which they responded with I can move the window. After many emails, pictures phone calls, they had to come back, uninstall everything & reinstall. The subcontractor they used to do the cabinet install also wound up damaging a couple of cabinets & had to replace them after the install so they had to once again, uninstall part of the kitchen to get to the cabinets they had damaged. The doors for the kitchen sink cabinet were & the response was, you can use pull out baskets instead of having doors . It took them until the end of the project to finally install doors. The scheduling of the subcontractors was a chaotic mess. They would tell me they would be showing up and I would take off work and they would no-show me. I would be heading out and they would show up unannounced. We compared emails and the company sent different dates to us. Or the subcontractor would only do an hours work and then leave. Their planning and scheduling are not even close to professional level for charging $45,000 for a small kitchen remodel. It was one problem after another and several emails everyday to pull information from them. Every time a contractor came in to do some work, they would leave behind a HUGE mess that would take me hours to clean up after they had left. The good part was the company did stand behind their product so when it was damaged, not right, or just plain missing, they eventually got it right. They finally sent me an AMAZING guy named Donald to actually fix the mess all the previous subcontracts had created. He is a direct employee and they must have realized my kitchen was so far wrong and messed up they really needed to send someone who actually knew what they were doing. Donald fixed everything! Without him, this project would have been a very big expensive, and colossal fail. I recommend using Specialty Kitchen and Bath under two HUGE conditionsâ ¦ first and foremost; make sure ALL the work is done by Donald. If they wonâ t let you have Donald for the entire project, then find someone else. Second, get a firm timeline of when each step of the project will be accomplished with date, time, and what work is to be done. For the extraordinary prices they charge, I expected much more professionalism and a quicker turn time.

Best experience ever with a remodel !! Very friendly, quick, efficient, and skilled. Provided some needed guidance and listened and communicated well with us. Love the result! A real jewel --!

Jeremiah has been great to work with and a good communicator. So far construction has gone as planned and has met our expectations. Pricing and timing has been much better than any other company I looked at. I would definitely recommend this company.

We signed the contract to remodel two bathrooms August 2018. We were told it was an easy 6-8 week project. It still is not done and it is mid-May 2019! They keep on coming up with excuses after 8+ months! We are obviously lowest priority. They might have someone work a few hours per week. Personnel turnover is big. We spent 3 days cleaning up their trash at one point. I wish I had never hired this company! They are terribly disorganized. Run, do not walk, to someone else!

We completed a major remodel of our kitchen. We replaced all cabinets, countertops/backsplash, and appliances. We did not move any walls or replace flooring. SK and B did not supply the cabinets or the appliances so its total share of the project was just under $40K (about half of the total). From the time they started until they finished was 2 months, longer than we expected but within the terms of our contract. SK and B was not the lowest bidder but the representative who came to scope and price the project (Christopher Borden) clearly gave us the best impression that they understood the job and how to get it done. Perhaps the single most important element in choosing them was SK and Bs commitment to operate under the fixed price of the contract and that surprises would be on them. SK and B subcontracted most of the work to a variety of skilled workers (carpenters, drywall, electricians, HVAC, plumbers, etc) Everyone that came to our house to work was professional, proficient and worked quietly. Some were better than others, as you would expect. The aspect of the project that we would have liked to have been better was in the broad area of communication.I think that was due, in part, to the absence of a documented plan that was shared with us or with the various subcontractors. Too often we waited all day for someone to come that was actually working somewhere else. It was not uncommon for the subcontractors not to know what they were supposed to do once they arrived. In most cases, I had to be hands-on person to explain the plan. It helped that I am retired and was home most days. As in any large project, there were things that had to be corrected and I will say SK and B never debated or dragged its feet on any of them. We are very pleased with the results of our remodel and would not hesitate to hire them again. In fact, we feel very fortunate to have gotten their name and it was particularly good they sent Chris Borden to make that first impression.

We recently hired this company to remodel our en-suite bathroom. From beginning to completion the service and workmanship was flawless. Everyone on their team from the designers to the management staff helped immensely during this remodel process. The project was done quickly and I am very pleased with the way my master bathroom looks. Definitely going to do my kitchen with them!

They were very professional and the project was well done. Everything looks great! I had the opportunity to have this sweet girl, Vera, to help with the remodel. She got the project done on time and handled every situation in a professional manner. She was really reliable and on top of things. When I do my bathroom remodels, I hope to work with this company again, because I know everything will get done and they won't disappoint. They are very trustworthy and I would recommend this company to any homeowner.

Specialty Kitchen and Bath did a great job doing a full remodel on my master bath! Our salesperson, along with Julie and Vera were very informative and helped us through the full duration of the project. I would recommend them to anyone!
