Speedway was hired to move us from NYC due to the Covid pandemic and store our entire household goods while we were away. When we moved back to NYC, to our shock and dismay, more than half of our goods including art/collectibles were simply not delivered!! We did not even have our beds or mattresses to sleep on! We lost a lot of art and family heirlooms, items that cannot be replaced. We filed an insurance claim for $237,000. They had mentioned earlier that there was very little damage -- they lied! They would not return emails regarding the damage. Even though half of our household had disappeared, they kept charging us for the full amount of Storage charges for over 6 months!!! Even whilst moving our goods back, their team was in a huge rush and very sloppy. Speedway consistently lied to us for months. Diego (Owner) and Martin lie and can not be trusted at all.

Beware!!!!!! This is one of my first times writing a review, but I wanted to share my experience to hopefully prevent it from happening to anyone else. For context, the only two people we spoke to along this long process were Martin and Diego. My husband and I have moved cross country many times for my career and used various moving companies. Some have had a few minor hiccups, but never anything close to what we experienced with Speedway Van Lines. The start of the move went extremely well when they came to pick up our items, after that it all went downhill. We had our items stored at their facility in New Jersey and had been in frequent contact with them. When we called to schedule our destination move is when the experience turned into a nightmare. They notified us at this time that their facility had flooded and a large portion of our items had been damaged. They let us know to rest assured because they had gone through our items and saved what they could by taking it upon themselves to dry clean. They NEVER notified us of any of this, and we only found out when calling to schedule our move. I would have personally driven down there and salvaged myself. They proceeded to tell us not to worry, that it was not everything and only a few things. We immediately requested our inventory and photos of the items that were damaged, that they claimed they had. After multiple attempts to contact them, they notified us that they had misplaced our entire inventory list which was supposed to be digital. They claimed there was a glitch with the system and they would solve it with the software company, spoiler alert, this never happened. They started sending us photos, some items that were not even ours!! Fast forward to the drop-off date, they sent two movers to deliver our items in a very small truck. This was extremely telling as they needed 2 large trucks and 7 men to load all of our initial items. The movers were as friendly as possible. They even apologized multiple times when they were delivering the items due to their state of them, saying â do t worry the company will take care of you. 90% of our items were gone, and of what was delivered a good portion had extreme mold and water damage (both furniture and cloths). They delivered us moldy and unusable furniture pieces, yet kept all of our other items claiming they were too bad of condition to send. The entire experience was extremely shady, we felt as though we had been robbed in addition to losing all of our items. After the move, we had to once again initiate contact to receive any sort of compensation. At this time they had tampered with our items, not produced inventory or all of the photos, claimed some items (more expensive items ironically) were too bad to salvage and sent us destroyed/unusable furniture. In this last part, I will try to summarize to close out this lengthy review. After we had attempted to call/text/email upwards of 1000x to receive some sort of compensation for our over $100,000k in damaged/lost items we were given false promises, blatantly ignored, and ultimately told that we would receive compensation for not even one-twentieth of what we lost. They claimed, do not worry we will assess FEMA and take care of you to give you more. They claimed they would email confirming this. None of this ever happened. We have since reached out multiple times, with once again no response. I have some great recommendations for movers all over the country I would be happy to share, to hopefully save the next person a headache!

Gave great service to get the signed contract. Told me they do not subcontract their work and they do. I was also told that I would have the same crew delivering that picked and packed and I did not. That is when I was told they sub for this company. I had thousands of items broken and sent pictures and put in a claim and called and sent emails endlessly and never got anything replaced or paid for. Was also missing 2 large boxes that to this day I do not know what happened to them. Very disappointed!

Some of our belongings were broken or damaged ,poorly packed it was a white glove service , the packing team was good but the unpacking team was horribly rude and condescending. They did move my stuff from NJ to Tn in 24 hours so they were quick.service and customer care could have been better for 8k

Delivery was a month and a week later than the date provided and I had to constantly call to get any info about when I would see my things only to be told **we will call you back** and it never happening. Furniture arrived flooded out and ruined. The only thing that survived was pots and pans that I did not need to pay over $4k to move. Currently praying insurance covers the cost of needing entirely new furniture.

At age 62 my experience with Speedway was the worse business experience I have ever had. We were grossly overcharged because we were desperate, we were repeatedly lied to and necessary pieces of our furniture were lost. That was in addition to having to wait in a new city for a week with no furniture or necessities after having repeatedly being assured the delivery would be immediate. The move was my daughter to law hundreds of miles from home. Despite careful planning to be settled before school started, she ended up being stressed overwhelmed by the experience with Speedway and was NOT settled before school started. All of this taking place in early August and she is still waiting for a resolution to an ongoing issue in September. We were charged 3x the normal cost for this awful service and nothing was delivered timely. We had changed movers at the last minute because the movers we had, advised us of a 1-day delay on the day the move was scheduled. We ended up paying 3 x the original cost because we were told that Speedway would adhere to our original timeline. Turns out that they did not, we should have stuck with the other movers who would have completed the job days before Speedway did, even with the delay. We paid 3x the original cost for longer delivery. The bottom line. Do not use this company for your move. You will be better off doing it yourself.

This move was kinda pricey. I only had 2 pieces of furniture, that I inherited, to move from PA to FL. The company could have brought the pieces down with a move that they were already bringing, but they didn't. They moving guys packed up, wrapped up, and completely protected my things from any damage. They were awesome and, very nice too
