I needed the ice maker in the refrigerator fixed. I called Stache and Sons appliance repair on November 3rd. I had to have $122 with a debit card over the phone before they came out. It would go on a bill that came out on November 5th. He said he had to order a part and came back on November 23rd to put the part in the refrigerator at the bottom in the back and a new hose. He said we should have ice in 24 to 48 hours, also said had no guarantee. To call if not. I gave him a check for $329 that brought the total to $451. I called him a few days later to let him know there was still no ice, he said he needed to order another part and it would cost me $462, bringing my bill up to $913. I do believe he is a liar of older people and women. I noticed my carpet in my family room was real wet and thought it was my old dog that was having problems. I called the carpet man back on December fourth and they came back out to suck up the water. That cost me another $60. We discovered the fridge was leaking from the wall. I called Stache and Sons and left a message on their answering machine. He did not call me back. I never received the receipt. I had another appliance repair come out and that cost me $371. They said at the most it should not have been over $450 or $500. Please stop this person from taking advantage of people, thank you. I even took my dog to the vet and was going to have her put down on November 30th, thank God my vet talked me out of it. I have turned this in to the attorney general and also the Better Business Bureau. I hope they can do something about this.
Response from Stache & Sons Appliance Repair
"This is completely false we said we would come out and replace the ice maker for free there is no need to leave a bad review for something we did not do. We did call you back and offer a full refund or repair and you declined both."

They did a great job!!! Fixed our LG oven in about 45 Minutes.... Cost more than I expected, but less than replacing the entire stove!!!

This is a horrid company run by a scam artist. Do not use them. He charges up front before any work is done, which is completely shady, and if he fails to deliver what you pay for, and you ask for a refund, you will be harassed and threatened to the point of having law enforcement involved. Literally. I have never been so terrified of a person before. I prepaid Stache $660 to repair my fridge and my fridge was not repaired. I was forced to purchase a new one. The owner continues to lie about repairing my fridge, he scams customers into signing BS contracts by making it seem like you are signing for payment authorization only, and I have now filed a consumer complaint with the Attorney General. I will never use this company again.

Do not use this company! Overpriced, inexperienced, and unprofessional! I initially called them in mid-October to repair 2 appliances. The dishwasher was not draining and the fridge was not keeping things as cold as it should have been and had issues with the water and ice maker. Tyler, the owner of the company, came out the next day. He was here for about half an hour, looked at both, and explained I would need a new drain pump for the dishwasher and evaporator motor for the fridge. I asked him about the water dispenser and he explained that should fix the dispenser as well. I paid an additional $775.41 by check for a total of $940.17. Yikes! Tyler explained because of Covid it would take about 3 weeks to get the parts, which was understandable. I got a call 3 weeks later that my parts would be there the next Monday and she wanted to get me on the schedule for the first appointment, asked if 6:30 am be good. Sure, Great. I work from home starting at 7 so we are good! I wake up at 6 to make sure I was up and ready. By 7:30 am I text to get an ETA. I get a message back saying Tyler had some issue that morning but he was on his way. He arrived at 8 am, an hour and a half late, and was *done* by 8:30! He called me into the kitchen, explained he replaced the evaporator fan in the fridge and that I would need to wait for 24hrs for it to cool. For the dishwasher he replaced the drain motor BUT there was still a clog in the hose that I would need to call a plumber to unclog. I looked at him confused that I was paying him to fix my dishwasher, would not this be part of him fixing it? He explained that no they do not do plumbing for insurance purposes. I was thinking this was a hose-like on a washing machine and fine maybe I could just replace it. He also suggested I snake the hose if I had one of those. Keep in mind, I am a single mother just wanting to pay someone to fix my appliances! So he leaves. I run off to pick up a snake and snake the hose myself. Nothing. Still will not drain. I called back that night. Tyler explained he could come out to clean out the dishwasher but that would be an additional $200. THEN the next day my fridge still is not cold! I call the number back and talked to a lady to explain that my fridge still is not getting cold AND I am very frustrated that Tyler left without actually fixing the dishwasher AND now it looks like he did not fix the fridge either! She was very nice and explained sometimes they get faulty parts and she would have Tyler call me back that same day and see what could be done. No callback. Then, I sent a text the following day which was Friday. I explained I still have not heard anything and was pretty frustrated. I got a text back that the owner (Tyler) would call me back by end of the business. Finally, on Monday 11/16 at 6:15 pm, Tyler called me back. He was trying to still solution my dishwasher and fridge. I cut him off and explained that after a week of back and forth with his company, additional costs, and the next week being Thanksgiving, I went out and purchased new appliances which were being delivered the next day. The only thing I would be interested in discussing with him would be a refund. He explained that my parts cost them $400 and then the initial consultation... I cut him off and explained I would be willing to meet him halfway and cover the cost of parts, but I would expect a refund for the additional $540 that I paid for his *time*, which consisted of about an hour! Tyler explained they NEVER refund the initial fee. He and I went back and forth about why would I pay that when he did not complete the diagnostic correctly or actually fix either of my appliances. He became rude and eventually hung up on me.

My experience was actually excellent. It took longer to get the parts than expected but that is certainly not anything that can be helped especially in these crazy times. The company was easy to reach by phone and kept me informed of the delay and was very efficient in contacting me and scheduling a service time when the parts were received. The work was performed perfectly and my washing machine is working like new. Many thanks.

Stache and sons appliance repair went above and beyond with their service. My GE dishwasher needed repair-it was totally dead and needed a new control board. Tyler showed up, mask on, and ready to work. Unfortunately, through no fault of Immediate or Tyler, my dishwasher needed both control boards replaced. After much back and forth with GE technical support, Tyler, the owner of stache and sons Appliance Repair came in person to pick up my dishwasher and do the repair in the shop. Tyler and his staff put many hours into my job, and I was not charged any more than what I was originally quoted. That speaks volumes as to true customer care and not taking advantage, as I am sure many others would have. My dishwasher was returned in working order, and thank goodness no problems since its reinstall. I have spoken with Emma the scheduling guru, and they handle a stressful job with professionalism and humor. It is not easy being on the front lines talking to angry people that want their appliances fixed yesterday. Emma deserves to be commended on keeping her cool and approaching things with a level head and a sense of humor. I have been using Stache and sons appliance repair for a while, and I will continue to do so because they treat customers fairly and with respect. Thanks again for a job well done.

I would like to tell everyone about my experience.... We woke up on 9/20/2020 with a warm fridge. we tried to do some research to figure out why it was warm and there was like 500 different issues there could be. So we searched and searched for someone to come look at our Samsung fridge that was not cooling. Stache and sons seemed to be the only one in town that would come take a look and see what the issue was. He quoted $113.99 to come take a look at it and if we went through with the repair that was waived. I was amazed because no one in town would do this for us. Tyler showed up the next morning 8am sharp like he said and he found out our fridge was icing up and the fan motor was bad. He gave us a quote and we accepted it. He had the parts with him so he installed them and bam fridge was cold 12 hours later!!

Do NOT call Stache and Sons Appliance Repair. Do not write them a check or give them any of your time or money. We had Tyler out to fix our refrigerator on September 30th, it is now November 10th and our refrigerator still does not work. We paid over $500 to Stache and Sons and we still have a broken refrigerator. After repeatedly promising that he would contact the LG Tyler called me today and told me that I would have to do it myself. Stache and sons is a terrible business. They are dishonest and incredibly rude. Tyler is a scammer who will take your money and run. Do not call him. Do not let him in your house!

Tyler diagnosed my ice maker problem in my freezer bin to be my ice maker. He said he would have to order one and the price would be$744.48 altogether and he required it to be paid upfront by check only. He said he did not take credit cards because too many times he got taken. I was reluctant to do this but since I had to pay a diagnosis fee whether z I used it or not, I proceeded. Around 3 weeks later he came back and put the ice maker in. After waiting sufficient time for it to make ice in my ice bin, I still had the same problem. I told him this and he then said he now knew what the problem was and would come back to fix it for almost $500 more. Needless to say, I did not get him back. I tried to get him to refund part of my money, but I could not get him to refund any of it either. I now have a refrigerator that I paid all that money to fix and I have the same identical problem.

READ THIS: Called them to repair a dryer that had been out for a while. He was quick to schedule and asked for a credit card payment in advance which was strange. But, we really needed it fixed. He came the next day, opened the dryer, and said it was the ignitor and wanted over 400 dollars for the repair in advance. He asked if I could cut him a check so he would save the fee. That was where I just was not paying attention. I paid him and never heard from him again. I read reviews and there are similar experiences in this forum. I emailed and called him with no response no going on for weeks. I am planning to report him to the police and state licensing department. After I researched the repair I found the ignitor for 40 dollars and did it myself. My bad for being so stupid to pay in advance. I have never been scammed before. But he is good at this. He has done it before and will likely keep doing it unless he is stopped.

Tyler and Emma were extremely responsive and great to work with through every bit of our experience with them. When our dishwasher began leaking in our AirBNB we were struggling to find anyone available to come and check out our unit. Emma, in the office, was able to get us scheduled right away for a diagnostic and upon seeing that our heating element was out in our dishwasher, Tyler and I were on the phone scheduling for him to come back in 2 days after he picked up the part. I was always able to get a hold him with questions, payment, anything I needed regarding the repair. We will absolutely recommend him to others and be using them in the future. Thanks for everything guys!

Our microwave wasn t working, and the repairman was very honest about the problems with it. He could have ordered a new part and charged for the labor, however recommended it would be wiser and cheaper to just buy a new one. I appreciate the punctuality of his arrival as well as integrity
