"Johan, I appreciate you taking the time to lay this out, and I'm sorry we couldn't reach a resolution that you felt good about. I was personally involved in this one, from the calls to the offer we made to settle it, so I'll respond as directly as you did. I hear your frustration. On several of the facts though, I see it differently, and that's worth explaining for anyone else reading. Also, I feel that you left a lot of of your review. The on-site walkthrough you saw as a red flag is one of the steps we're proudest of. Before a post goes in the ground, which is semi-permanent, we confirm the layout on site and have the homeowner sign off on it. Most companies skip that step. We built it in specifically to catch anything before it becomes something we can't undo. I understand it caught you off guard, but it is how we protect our customers, not a sign anyone was unsure of the plan. On the fence itself, what we installed matches the contract and estimate you signed as well as the layout that your HOA approved. There were several changes made along the way, and confirming that the final signed paperwork reflects exactly what everyone wants is on all of us before anyone signs off. What went in the ground is what those signed documents laid out. On the additional footage and the cost, moving and extending a fence line is not the same as the per-foot rate on a full install. Sending a crew back out carries real costs, and our minimum for that kind of return work is normally well above what we quoted you. We came down significantly, and when you pushed back, I offered to split the difference further, which would have put us at a loss. That offer was turned down and left out of your comments. On the phone calls, they got heated on both ends, and I don't think anyone walked away proud of how it went. That is not how I like to do business, and I'm sorry it got there. I wish you nothing but the best! We couldn't find common ground, and I respect your decision to take your business elsewhere. To anyone else reading, the experience described here is not the one the vast majority of our customers have had, and that track record is something this crew works hard for every single day.
