I have used Skip for multiple Excavation projects, including my own septic system install. Always responds quickly, has bailed me out before. In regards to previous reviews I’ve only seen Skip do the right thing when it comes to deposits. Also, I think people forget after a big excavation job there’s typically dirt or stone left over that a landscaper we need to come in and clean up and look pretty. Skip is not a landscaper, but he is very good with an excavator & grading and that’s exactly what installing a drain field is.

Very Bad!! Do not hire! Gave him a $2500 deposit in October of 2020 to put in a Driveway. He never did the work over a year later a nd refuses to give me my deposit back. Voice mail full. Doesn't answer emails or text messages except to laugh and tell me I have too much time on my hands since I said I was filing a complaint with the State and filing in court. The Maine Attorney Generals office now has the complaint and the Oxford County Sheriffs Office is looking for him since he has now done this to many people.

He demanded a $2840 deposit. He said he would be down to look at the site over and over but NEVER sowed up. From August to October I could not get him to even come look at site despite giving him a down payment. I told him I was going with another contractor , he said in black and white he would give me my money back. Weeks later he said he is not giving it back because I signed a contract. His contract clearly stated if no work was done or materials delivered 100% of deposit would be refunded. Its February and I still have no refund. The police told me it is clearly fraud with the evidence i provided & there is MANY cases complaints/suits against this company for the same exact thing. DO NOT do business with this company!!!!

Stanley Excavation came over here and gave me an estimate for a leech field. He demanded a $2000 deposit on the spot, I told him I did not have financing yet and if I did not get financing I would need the $2000 back. I did not get the financing, it has been over a month now, and he refuses to give my deposit back! This is in the signed contract, saying if financing fails, the deposit is refundable.

I originally hired Skip for a new leach field and ended up extending the job to remove 5 huge pine trees and stumps as well as install a new gravel driveway and front lawn! Itâ s clear Skip is a pro! They were so efficient and just a team of really professional guys. I was happy to have them around for the week! Highly recommend

They cleared a large pine, excavated and laid a foundation, brought in gravel and fixed my driveway. They were very prompt with all the work. Kept me in the loop about everything that was happening. I couldn't of asked for better service. They even went beyond our contract with what we asked. Very very happy with the finished product.

He did a septic system and resurfaced my gravel driveway. It's been a few years since he has done work and there hasn't been any issues with the work so far.
