Stamped Concrete Installation
Structural Issues, Failed Inspections, and Lack of Accountability I hired Star Concrete and Jorge Perez to pour a slab at my property. Despite providing specific instructions and a requirement for county inspections, Mr. Perez poured the slab without calling the county. This negligence forced us to file an affidavit to satisfy inspection requirements. Furthermore, Mr. Perez used #4 rebar in his affidavit, which required additional engineering documentation for county approval. When I asked him to provide this, he went silent, and I was forced to pay for the engineering costs out of my own pocket. Throughout the project, corners were cut constantly. I had to personally supervise the crew for two full days to ensure basic specifications were met, facing a constant stream of excuses and lies. Despite my oversight, the final slab is out of plumb by up to 4 inches on one side.
