State-Wide Moving & Storage is a full service, fully licensed & insured, family owned and operated, professional moving company. We also maintain a full service storage facility for our moving customers only who require either long term or short term storage. This is not a "public" storage facility and we also do not offer "cold" storage. We utilize our own trucks and long time employees. We handle local as well as long distance residential and commercial moves. State-Wide specializes in the safe and secure moving of pianos. We also have the equipment to move heavy items such as safes & gun safes. We do not move pool tables and hot tubs unless they are part of a customers move. We als do NOT rent our trucks. I recently moved to Florida, and I expected it to be a long and tiring process. George and Ryan handled most of the work, and they stayed consistent the whole time. They packed things with proper care and organization. When everything arrived, I checked my items and nothing was damaged. They also placed the furniture in the right spots instead of just leaving it all together.

I am so glad I chose State-Wide Moving for my relocation. We had a lot of heavy exercise equipment and a massive weight rack that I was worried about moving. Edgar and Ryan used a lot of heavy-duty straps and blankets to ensure nothing would vibrate or slide around during the drive from East Brunswick. It was a long day, but they treated our bulky gear with a lot of respect. Every single piece arrived at the new house in perfect condition.

We had a move from West Windsor to Old Bridge, and everything went smoothly. Henry and Xavier were quick and knew how to handle big items without damaging anything. They used the right stuff to wrap furniture and were really patient when we changed our minds about where to place a few things. I’d definitely call them again for the next move.

The move from Princeton to Hamilton had me stressed because I had a lot of fragile items. Mo and Johnny came in and first asked what I was most worried about. They took their time wrapping those items and did not rush anything. I watched them carry things out, and they were careful around corners and doorways. At the new place, they made sure everything was set where I wanted. I am really grateful.

We scheduled a move with our OWN truck. Their driver didn?t show up so we had to rearrange our schedule to accommodate the next day. We were told we would get a 5% discount because they dropped the ball.
The movers were amazing. Quick, careful, easy to communicate with, super friendly.
We only hired 3 individuals to load OUR truck. The day they missed, Tom suggested the movers use their own transportation because we didn?t need their truck.
When it came time to move, they CHOSE to use their own truck. At settlement, they dropped their FUEL SURCHARGE, which never was going to be charged? as we used our own truck.
Portal to portal, Subcontract the move and make the customer pay to and from Statewide?s location. It?s bad business but we still agreed.
I spoke to Tom? his response was how are the movers supposed to get there? Not our problem? we contracted for people not your truck.
Don?t promise a discount for YOUR ERROR and snake us with a charge we never would have to pay.

I needed to move a dining room set from 40 minutes away. And I needed itdone on short notice, basically on the other side of a weekend. On Friday I sought 3 proposals. Michael reached out to me first on Friday night, shortly after I posted the job. When I got back to him on Monday, he was able schedule two people for Tuesday morning. They were super friendly and careful about the work. A rug needed to be placed on top of a mat. They quickly made several adjustments until they had it perfectly centered. And then...the job came in under budget. They were perfect for what I needed.

Statewide Moving and Storage is owned by Mike Rivella and manager Tom [last name removed]. They will lie to get the business, overcharge and pressure you the day you are moved and then steal. I am missing items and services promised not completed. I have filed complaints with BBB and Consumer Affairs with documentation and they will lie even in writing for things they state happened when in fact they didn't One liar and cheat will back up the other liar and cheat. Stay away. Not professional and not what you are quoted. I have used Harris Movers and Bohrens in the past and I made the biggest mistake using them when a sweet friend tried to refer her friend Mike who is a total embarrassment . He even send an insulting text to a co-worker that came to me by accident stating a Tranquility fountain that we used with my husbands Urn is "stupid" and has never been located. Stay away. The owner Mike Rivella and office manager Tom [last name removed] will liar, cheat and misrepresent any and all that happens. Run and stay away. Way better movers out there.

"As any prudent customer can observe, the majority of my customer reviews are wonderful 5 star reviews that have been submitted by valued customers. In all my 34 years in the moving industry I have never been so slandered by anyone like this and to the point that I have to refer this matter to my corporate attorney for action. Just for the record and to set the true account straight with all the personal slanderous attacks that are totally not warranted. At the conclusion of this move this customer paid the bill in full, gave a generous gratuity to the crew and complemented them for their hard work. Several days after the move, this customer called our office and reported that ONE item was missing. The customer asked that we check our truck to see if it was left behind. It should be noted that we automatically check all the trucks when they return to the yard at the end of a day. At this time the trucks are also cleaned out. We informed the customer that the truck was found to be empty. The customer asked that we check the truck again. The owner of the company personally checked the truck and it was again found to be empty. It should be noted that we have in our possession a signed document where the customer acknowledged that the move was complete and the truck was empty. In a matter such as this, it could be possible that the item was left behind or misplaced. To make a very long story short, we eventually offered to pay for the item, in full, even though legally we did not have any liability. No matter what we did, this customer found it to be unacceptable. This customer wrote on a public forum that she was going to "crush us like a bug". We have found this behavior to be beyond anything reaction we have ever encountered in 34 years of being in business. We respectfully suggest that you consider how this customer has engaged on personal attacks and ask yourself if this is normal. State-Wide continues to offer first class service to our valued customers. Thank you for your understanding and consideration when reading this particular unwarranted review with all its personal attacks. Best regards, Michael, State-Wide Moving & Storage"

They were very accommodating with the schedule I had to adhere to, and that was very much appreciated. The Moving crew arrived within the time window promised, and even on the earlier side of the window. The Moving Crew was polite, friendly, and handled everything with care, and were done in less time than I had expected. Great Experience!

I was looking to move some patio furniture to my daughters house, table, 8 chairs an umbrella. I really didnâ t want to go thru the hassle of renting a u haul and doing it myself but I didnâ t want to pay a fortune to move. I went thru Angi list and statewide got back quickly with other. They got back to me quickly with a written quote and a day to move. The contractor spoke to me by phone for final arrangements and the price was fair. They came on time, packed the furniture and were at my daughterâ s house in a short period of time. Pleased with process, pleased with service and pleased with price. I would use them again.

State Wide handled my project efficiently and with care. They made sure that there was adequate coverage on our floors etc. so as not to damage anything. They dismantled and reassembled our large refrigerator perfectly. Also, it was a relatively small job a moving company but they accepted it.
