Desired service was yard drainage system. Installed a system for several thousand dollars, but the system has never worked right. They did not honor the warranty.

My mother, is 75 years old. She reached out to Stay Dry Waterproofing for a simple consultation about a moisture issue in her home ? the exact kind of problem this company exists to solve. She never signed a contract. She never paid them a dime. Instead of getting help, she was disrespected from the start. When my mother tried to speak with someone directly about her own home, the manager refused to engage with her and instead directed his attention to short-term tenants on the property. When she asked, again, to be the one spoken to, his response was to call her a "slumlord" and tell her they "don't provide services to slumlords anyway" ? refusing her business outright. My mother has never been a slumlord. Let that sink in: a company insulted an elderly woman for the crime of asking to be heard about her own home. I called back to speak with a manager myself. What followed was disturbing ? yelling, repeated cursing, and direct threats aimed at me. Then he threatened my mother

Toxicity and Mold - Removal
$6,000
There were so many red flags and shame on me for continuing with the project. I was told by Troy there was mold in the walls of all three floors of my home and charged $6,000 for removal. When the crew came to treat, they said there was only mold in the basement and treated that. Then they "fogged" my house, without protective gear, which I thought was odd as I was asked to leave my house for an hour. Anyway, since I was charged $6,000 for treatment of 3 floors, but had only one treated, I asked Mikayla for a reassessment of cost and hoped for a partial refund. Her response was "you received the treatment you paid for," then blocked me for further discussion! Such a disappointment. And as an elderly female, I am often targeted for being taken advantage of in situations like this. If you do use this company, which I don't recommend, make sure you are provided a detailed job list. Also, pay with credit card so you can dispute charges with the credit card co. Worst exper ever!

Foundation, Basement or Crawlspace - Waterproofing / Encapsulation
$14,000
I hired Stay Dry after multiple sales reps promised services that were never delivered?battery backup, HEPA wall sanding, and proper discharge placement. We even received two nearly identical quotes at different prices, and the owner who was supposed to ?go the extra mile? never showed. The work completed didn?t match what was sold, and they pushed hard for payment, even sending someone to our door unannounced. After paying, customer service dropped off completely. Warranty appointments were missed with no calls, costing me multiple vacation days. The only way to reach someone was by selecting the ?new customer? option on their phone system. Their drainage solution has caused erosion in our yard and our neighbor?s, and they refuse to fix it unless we pay more. Months later, we still have water in the basement and unanswered warranty claims. If you consider this company, insist on itemized quotes; verbal promises meant nothing in our experience. Wanted to share beyond Google Reviews

I had a drainage system installed on August 7, 2025. After the first rainfall, I reported issues on August 13. The company returned and said a batch of PVC used did not have proper perforations and had to be manually modified. Since then, the system has continued to show problems, including erosion and exposed drainage pipe within less than a year. In December 2025, I submitted another service request. An appointment was scheduled, then rescheduled to January 2, 2026, but no one showed up and I received no communication. I followed up on January 6 and provided multiple dates I was available, but never received a response. Recently, I reached out again and was told the issue was not covered under warranty and to stop trying to schedule appointments. Very disappointing experience and lack of follow-through.

Toxicity and Mold - Removal
$7,474
I am writing this review to inform prospective customers that Stay Dry Waterproofing Marysville is not what they portray on their website. Although Stay Dry has had good reviews from home improvement websites in the past, their current quality and customer service levels do not meet the good review comments they once received. I contracted with Stay Dry to clean up a mold problem I had in my basement and cracking problem I had on my front basement wall. I was told by the Stay Dry representative that they would dig down from the exterior of my home to the point where my exterior wall met my basement floor and would fill all cracks apparent on the exterior and interior wall. I was told this needed to be done in this manner to prevent water from seeping through the crack from the top of the wall to the bottom of the wall in the future. When the work was being completed, the Stay Dry foreman told me that they only dig down three individual cement blocks. He said they were not going to dig

Had this machine put in to kill mold with a guarantee to come back if the mold come back . Well guess what it came back . They came out and said that the warranty was void because the machine was unplugged . Once i informed them we had cameras they made another excuse . That was another lie . Then when i addressed the situation the owner then yelled at me accused me of threatening him so he could justify not covering the warranty. You thought i forgot ill never forget ill never stop telling the truth about you . Straight up fraud . Go check BBb look at bad comments to know who they are .

This company is a mess, they pulled the "bait and switch" on me. A $14,000 project instantly became a $20,000 project. I do not recommend them.

They did an excellent job. We had bad weather today with snow covering the ground. They did a good job digging around our trees which we really appreciated. The foreman was very concerned that they meet our expectations. Thank you

Stay Dry did a great job throughout the process. The sales rep was very knowledgeable and made sure I under and was comfortable with the process. The crew showed up on time, worked efficiently but took time to answer questions and, importantly, did a great job with clean up after the work was completed each day.

My company Purpose Residential, has utilized them on several of our properties for mold mitigation and water remediation. All of the homes are left in better condition than they started. They never leave materials or a mess. I recommend to anyone that is having issues with water intrusion in their basement. These guys are on time friendly and get it done.

Zahne and crew did excellent. But after they left I looked at the job they did digging up my yard. I’m not happy at all. They could have saved the sod and but it back. Now I have to hire a lawn company to fix it. I paid almost $20,000 for my crawl space. Also I would have liked to have pictures of what was done. Not happy right now. Also does anyone cleanup after there are broken bricks in the crawl space opening they were not there before. My husband was an electrician and if they would’ve left a mess like that, they would’ve been in trouble no respect anymore. That’s how I feel.

Staydry Waterproofing did a fantastic job installing exterior foundation drains at my home. The crew, led by Vic, was great — professional, friendly, and efficient. Vic made sure everything was done right and explained the process clearly. The job was finished on time, and I’m very happy with the results. Highly recommend!

You're, you're not getting out of this contract. We're keeping your five thousand dollars. Yeah, it's what's more or less you either, let us come or you'll lose five thousand dollars. She said she was very arrogant. She said, well, you've signed the contract? Why did you sign a contract? If you weren't sure. And I said, because we were trying to be decent people. And I called in, and I was told that this gentleman that's the way he was supposed to just be quiet and let them come. It's been a big puzzle the whole time. And now they're saying that I waited too long. I didn't, I called, I called before yesterday. I called two or three times. And I talked to someone that I thought would be Jessica. Seems to be very nice and curious. And she seemed, The conscience about her job. But today I couldn't even get her on the phone. They said that she wasn't about Queue and I couldn't even talk to the manager or the the CEO or the owner. I don't know what has qualifications are. That they said he he wasn't answering his phone. And that I I but they did have another girl that I have never talked to and she was. She just basically said, hey lady, U sinus contract. And we've we've scheduled and I said, I know you scheduled that I've called since it was scheduled to ask. Questions and I said, I haven't been able to get any answers. And, she basically said, well, Too bad. We're keeping the money. And she also added before she hung up. And you're going to have to pay this whole amount, whether we do the work or not. In other words, it was a threat. That they were going to take us to court. I said you are entirely not. Allowed to spike, speak to me that way. Maybe your company lets you. But if you were in my, if you worked for my company, you would have been fired right now. My arrogant way that you talk to me.

"Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We understand that home projects can sometimes create stress, and we?ve done our best to be respectful, communicative, and accommodating throughout this process. We want to clarify a few points to ensure the facts are accurately represented. Your husband has met with our team multiple times, expressed his support for the project, and confirmed his desire to move forward. We are currently scheduled to complete the work this week and have been working directly with him at his request. While we would welcome your involvement, you have not been present for these meetings, which may have led to some confusion. Our staff has remained professional and patient despite repeated calls where they have been spoken to in a manner that is not appropriate. We will always treat our customers with respect, and we ask for the same in return. No one on our team has ever threatened legal action or said you ?must remain quiet.? What was communicated is that a signed contract is legally binding and, as stated clearly in the agreement, the deposit is non-refundable once equipment is ordered and crews are scheduled ? both of which have already occurred. If you or your husband have any questions about the project or scope of work, we are more than willing to go over everything again before the scheduled date. Our goal is to help protect your home, and we?re committed to delivering on the promises made in the contract. We hope to move forward respectfully and focus on completing this project to your satisfaction."

Foundation, Basement or Crawlspace - Waterproofing / Encapsulation
$10,000
I recently hired and had the Stay Dry Waterproofing company out of Marysville, OH come on 4/21/2025 and 5/2/2025 and mold remediate and ?supposedly? encapsulate my basement. (I live in a 125 year old house.) This is not the job I was pitched by the salesman and sold. Many, many professional people have told me this is not an acceptable job and it is absolutely NOT what they sold me which was encapsulation. (There is nothing about their work that is encapsulation. Nothing is sealed at all.) They told me they?d take out the trash they made and didn?t. They tracked dirt all upstairs. (Basement is dirt floor). I called the Stay Dry company to complain about the work not being what I paid for and on they sent out my salesperson Greg Gough and a supposed ?manager? named Troy. That?s all I know. I do know after the way I was treated that Stay Dry Waterproofing does not care about their customers or the quality of their work AT ALL. Work is not what contract stated. TERRIBLE COMPANY!
Response from Stay Dry Waterproofing, LLC
"We?re truly sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with your project and we appreciate the opportunity to respond. Your home presented a unique challenge due to its age and the large crawlspace area, which is close in size to a full basement. Initially, you requested a full encapsulation; however, due to budget constraints and a limited financing approval, we worked with you to develop a scaled-down version of the project that still aimed to improve your home?s air quality and moisture control. Our team completed the agreed-upon scope of work, and you signed a Completion Certificate on-site after final walkthrough?indicating that you were satisfied at the time of installation. No issues were raised until more than a week later when the first financing payment became due. While we understand that financing obligations can cause stress, the timing of your complaint does not reflect an issue with the work itself, but rather a shift in expectations. We sent both your original consultant and a senior operations manager to your home to personally review your concerns. While we regret that you felt unheard during that visit, it?s important to clarify that the project performed was consistent with the adjusted contract based on your approved financing. Any trash left behind would have been addressed if reported at the time of completion?as is our standard practice. Stay Dry Waterproofing takes pride in helping homeowners who may not have the financial means to complete large-scale work by offering solutions that fit their budget. It?s incredibly disheartening when our good-faith effort to help turns into a public accusation that we do not care about our customers or the quality of our work. That said, we remain open to discussing any specific concerns regarding workmanship that fall within the scope of the work performed. We?re happy to inspect the job site again and address anything that is truly incomplete or out of line with what was contracted."
