Steven and his crew just completed a screened in porch addition to my parentsâ house and our expectations were exceeded with the final product. He was one of the most responsive contractors out of all the ones we contacted and was very flexible in the design of the project. He was on site almost daily during construction and we liked how his crew seemed happy during the work. I hired Childress Construction to replace the rotting wood on my deck with Azek polymer decking. Steven Childress and his assistant, Luke, performed the job efficiently and very skillfully. The quality of their work was excellent. Steven communicated well and was easy to work with, as some changes were made during the project. I highly recommend Childress Construction for deck or similar construction projects. The project was complicated by the fact that the deck was two levels, elevated 10 feet above the ground, and that the existing aluminum railing sections were welded together and could not be removed. The project became more complex when it was discovered that many of the deck joists were rotting and needed to be replaced. Steven cleverly managed to raise the railing in place and replace the joists and decking without damaging the railing. Throughout the job, Steven maintained the jobsite organized and did a good job of removing all of the old deck materials.

Steven removed all rotten posts and rails from rap-around porch and replaced with vinyl rails and posts and rebuilt the front porch steps. He paid attention to detail and I couldn't my happier with the results.

Steven built an AMAZING deck for me. Not only is the construction top-notch, but he steered me away from my pre-conceived notions into a great product. Now that I ve lived with it for awhile I can tell you it makes me happy every time I m out there. The neighbors have even come by to comment on the quality of the framing - including 2 deck-builders in the neighborhood. Thank you Steven!
