After buying a house that had a failing, poorly-built deck, I was so pleased to find Tom Sharp & Stone Mountain Design. they created a handsome composite deck with railings and stairs that I completely enjoy. Tom & his crew were pleasant to work with, very professional, fast & skilled workmen, set very realistic expectations, are on time-on budget. I would hire them for any project based on my very positive experience with them.

We hired Tom Sharp with Stone Mountain Design to enlarge our garage. We're somewhat happy with the end result. The stone that was replaced now has a shadow of concrete on the face which has made a permanent discoloration on the stone. We also did not know he didn't have an approved permit in hand when he started this work. The city gave us a "stop work" citation and now Tom is dragging his feet getting the paperwork done. The job was completed before we received the citation, they may have to tear things apart to get the process inspected. Now he's avoiding my phone calls. We do not recommend this builder!!

We have had Tom do several projects. This one is for our remodel on our master bathroom. Tom's prices always come in very fair. He has better attention to detail than his helper, but his helper is still learning. As a general contractor, there are some things that he does and some that he will subcontract. For this job, he did sub out the shower re-tile and new glass doors, all of which turned out beautiful. He also subbed out the paint for the entire master suite which was very well done and done quickly. He did the granite countertops as well as some customized granite to the shower including a step into the shower and 3 corner shelves. He also did swapped out all the fixtures and faucets and installed new set in sinks. His helper did the laminate floor which could have had the lines more uniform in the setting of the pieces and should have received more supervision from Tom on this. Tom did come back and worked on fixing a couple of things to our expectations. He will make sure you are happy with the finished product.

Tom is a pleasant, hard working, responsive, cost competitive. Although, installation was postponed twice and attention to detail was less than I expected.
