Hired for a primary bathroom renovation. While the owner Jonathan was great during our walkthroughs, the crew assigned to our project was a joke. They never came on time, when trying to call Jonathan or our project manager, no one would respond until hours later. There seems to be no communication between Jonathan and his crew. When the crew does show, they seem to be confused on what the plan is for the day and we?re stuck trying to tell them what we are expecting. This is not what I imagined for a home project. We seem to be the ones pushing for communication and supervising the project, not the project manager or Jonathan. While the work is done well (once the crew arrives) everything else has been a mess trying to figure out this project. We were assured this was an ?easy? project and it?s now double the time Jonathan told us and it?s still not done.

Blackwood Construction did a terrific job rebuilding my basement wall & reconstructing my kitchen cabinets after a water leak. Jonathan & his crew were a pleasure to work with. They were timely, very communicative, reasonably priced & they were respectful of my home. A special shout out to John, their Project Manager. John is a treasure. He hung in there until everything worked properly & was in good repair. I would definitely hire Blackwood Construction again. Thank you, Jonathan & John.

Jonathan and his crew were excellent craftsmen to paid attention to detail and did a great job. Their expertise in tiling was impressive. They were great in helping me choose materials, and were able to explain differences. They kept me informed about the schedule. Overall I am very happy with them and the results and would highly recommend them.

I hired Blackwood Custom to replace the flooring in my basement, and they did a phenomenal job. They removed multiple existing flooring surfaces and installed one cohesive laminate floor throughout. The project required leveling the entire slab before installation. Two other contractors were willing to install the flooring without addressing the uneven slab?even though I knew it needed to be corrected. Blackwood insisted on doing it the right way because they knew the final result wouldn?t be acceptable otherwise. If you want a contractor who refuses to cut corners and is uncompromising when it comes to quality, Blackwood is the way to go!

Blackwood did an exceptional job renovating my entire basement after a flood. They removed all signs that damage had ever occurred and made the space look even better than before. They replaced all of the drywall and half of the framing, and the finish-out exceeded the quality of the original work from my custom builder. The project was completed ahead of schedule and at a lower cost than the original builder, all while using higher?quality materials. I will use Blackwood for any and all future projects.
