StormShield Contracting LLC

We contracted Caleb Causey of StormShield Contracting LLC. We had a business before him but they were not registered. Mr. Causey made himself accessible the first two days: to get the job and collect the money. After that it has been nothing but problems. He came with about 10-13 men that didn't speak English, so he said that if we wanted to go out the door we would have to contact him so that he could relay the message to them. The men showed up at 7:18 a.m. - 4:22pm. Dec. 20, 2021 roof done. Mr. Causey had all access to the insurance company and paperwork and he charged $9,350 for the job. He received half the money up front. Then came back and said that he needed and additional 3,500 to pay for labor. I gave it to him. He never showed back up to the job but had pictures sent to him. There were bad water problems and other problems after the job. It rained for 4 days straight. My attic and electrical units up there were soaked. I had the roof looked at after the ice thawed and the gutters were full of debris and stopped up, bent, full of nails, tube of silicone and everything. Lamp post bent, vinyl has a hole in it and no drip edge installed across the back of my house, the drywall is cracking from water running down from copper diverter not being replaced. Now I have water damage. I tried to contact this man for 3 months and he would not answer. Someone came on March 5th and repaired a boot with silicone and cleaned the gutters. He keeps texting he is coming to fix what remains never shows. It continues to rain and the drywall continues to damage. He feels that he can drag this job out because of a warranty. He only text now, no calls. Sixty one calls. We want our roof completed and new problem fixed. We did not pay to have it completed under our warranty. It does not take nearly 12 months to complete a job that we contracted with this company. We are elderly and sick. We should not have to deal with this sort of stress. Legal counsel will be sought if we have to. He has BBB on his truck, so we decided to contact it. We have every text message with a promise to come and complete our job and his confirming and acknowledging what needs to be fixed. It's been almost a year, we are still under warranty. I will not remove or update this review until this man finishes my home. My wife took sick behind all this stress and our children tried to communicate to get the job finished. All he wanted to do was text after he got his money. We just wanted a roofing job done. Never in our life would I thought we would be dealing with this. It took an inspection to show us that this company never put drip edge on the back of our home. He knows what he has done and he knows that we have all his messages to prove it. I simply wanted a professional roofer to do our home. Never thought we would be here. A whole summer has passed and still good weather and we have never heard from storm Shield Roofing LLC again.

Repaired a soffit that was allowing birds to enter above the garage. Caleb and his associate are very knowledgeable and easy to work with. I recommend him for roof, gutter, and related repairs.
