Trusting a moving company with your belongings is a big deal. You work your tail off day in and day out to earn the items you have in your home. So when a company comes in and damages them beyond repair, you would think that since they claim to carry 1 million dollars in general liability insurance they would turn it over to their insurance and right their wrongs. When Straightline came into my home, they wound up breaking two very large expensive TV's, scuffing scraping and tearing up our sectional sofa, and putting a hole and dirt all over our mattress causing the warranty to be voided. After being promised they would do everything to make it right, we wound up having to hire a lawyer to go after them for the $14,200 in damages they did in our home. They also sold us what they worded as an "additional" insurance policy, which was actually fraudulently an insurance policy that waived our access to any other coverage. All we wanted Straight-line to do was fix the damages they caused, because our property was in mint condition before we allowed them in our home. They refused to work with us, and now we are stuck with $14,200 in damages, almost $1,000 in lawyer fees, and the funniest part is we paid them $700+ to do it. We never should have trusted a moving company, but most importantly never should have trusted these guys. Tim and Corey promised my wife time and time again that they would be caring with our belongings, and not damage anything. Well they proved otherwise, and didn't care to fix it. We were truly just another deposit in the bank for them.

Hiring Straightline to move my belongings into my new home was the biggest mistake. At first they seemed great and like they truly cared about us customers, but when push came to shove and they did tens of thousands of dollars of damages to our property, they refused to make it right. They promised us that if anything happened to our belongings they would do everything to right their wrongs, and in the end we had to hire a lawyer to get them to even turn it over to their insurance. Come to find out they had sold us a fraudulent insurance policy that made it so that they couldn't/wouldn't turn our claim in to their general liability cover that they "claim" they actually have. Also, take all of their reviews with a grain of salt. They have hired a company called BirdEye to help them filter reviews so that you only see the good reviews, which doesn't allow consumers to make an educated decision. All we wanted was for Straight-line Moving company to fix the problems they created, and we wound up with tens of thousands in damages, lawyer fees, and we paid them $700+ to do all of this to us. Educate yourself, be informed, and know that you are better off hiring a few buddies and a Haul, because if things get broken you can turn it in to your Homeowners insurance policy.

After doing almost $14,000 in damages to our property, mishandling our furniture, lying to us and putting us through the ringer for the past 6 months, I urge everyone considering Straightline to look elsewhere. Full review |

One of the owners came to my apartment so that he could give me an accurate quote for the job. (This is their standard procedure.) The movers arrived on time and were exceptionally professional throughout. I have had a number of bad experiences with moving companies. Not with this one. I highly recommend them.

This company bent over backwards to help me out in an almost last minute request. I would highly recommend this company to family and friends over and over again. In fact I am using them again in two weeks and requested the one helper, Mat is his name and he is wonderful. to be there again. Wish I had checked out Home Advisors first to find this great company.
