I manage a condominium community in Arlington. One building needed a foundation modification due to a rodent infiltration. The work performed was essential and done well. The issue was resolved. More recently, Structural was hired again for surface water management on a sidewalk low area where they installed Ecoraster blocks that collect and direct water off the sidewalk. They also applied this Ecoraster solution to a hillside next to a building that was eroding badly. The solution is excellent. Pat does a good job of listening and recommending appropriate solutions for the issue.

Most praiseworthy was they cleansing up entire work area in basement and making sure that they take away all scrap for disposal and recycle. They did a very thorough renovation and upgrading of my existing backyard surface drainage, which uses a system of outside French drains. They also designed a big improvement in the use of river jack stones to inhibit the flow of water from neighborâ s yard.

Canâ  t speak highly enough about the people and work that Structural did for us last year. First of all, Pat, the project manager, listened and took the time to understand/analyze the problem before jumping to solutions. Other companies that gave bids did not do this, and it was obvious they were peddling generic solutions that had nothing to do with mitigating our issues. We had three projects to mitigate a wet basement and a swampy side yard: a 112' long French drain, waterproof the outside foundation where the water main entered the house, and tie all downspouts/French drain to the storm sewer. The crew was on time, professional, and hard working. The shrubs they had to remove to gain access were kept watered and were re-planted carefully. The grade for the French drain and drainage pipes were meticulousâ ¦you could have rolled a marble down the grade. They left the site fully clean and the yard restored; you could hardly tell work had been done. Most importantly, a year later the work has done exactly what was needed. The basement is bone dry. The side yard swamp is gone. The plants that were removed/replaced are thriving. And as an aside, a neighbor has been using one of the companies we rejected to fix their wet basement. They have been back four times over the last three months as they never applied the correct solution. Go with Structural.

They built it from scratch and followed the process thoroughly including structural design, sharing a drawing with me and sending a couple of options, making adjustments to my liking, then taking county's approval etc. They used good quality material and the quality of their workmanship was top notch. The project was started on time as promised, did the work efficiently and completed the job and cleaned the premises spotless. The owners of the company are structural engineers. We developed serious drainage issues when a large house was built on a hill overlooking our home. What had been a grassy drainage ditch was suddenly a flowing torrent after heavy rains. Ken Frain and his crew built a drainage ditch using river rock. The ditch has done a great job of keeping the water flow contained during heavy rain. A definite plus is ended up being a great addition to our landscaping.

We had flooding issues in our basement. They waterproofed the exterior of our house, replaced two sump pumps, and diverted the gutters further from the house. They were very professional and completed the job in a timely manner.

Horrible customer service, abhorrent subcontractor control, and took two years to finally secure a warranty repair after legal action had been initiated. Zero confidence in this business, with every excuse, cited as to why their repair was fine in the first place. They caused huge structural damage to the walls in their *repairs*.

We have done a few projects, the biggest being our backyard (we regraded it and put lawn in) they also put my kids playground together for us! The team was great and Ken Fraine was on top of everything. Communication was clear and if there was something we wanted to add or change, they were very willing and helpful. Most recently we had a leak in our foundation that they have come out for. I would highly recommend this company for your next project.

They were suppose to be here between 8a - 9a. No call about the delay. They already have 5K of my money for the project. Is it me or do most of these firms individually wealthy and don't need the work or are they just lazy and having financial issues. Shuffling my schedule seems to be unfair and grossly inept. If I was back home in NYS, I would be on the line with the AG office.

I contacted them in July of 2018 about my below grade reinforced concrete garage's ceiling being compromised. I told them I wanted a structural engineer to inspect the garage ceiling and write a report so I could stop the water infiltration and repair the ceiling. They sent a project manager named Sal to my house who, upon seeing my garage, said they would need to send their structural engineer. So then they sent their engineer named Santosh. He charged me upfront for even visiting my house. Then he "inspected" the garage. He took no notes. He took no pictures. He made no measurements. He didn't test any of the materials in the garage. He walked around it and declared that the entire garage would have to be demolished. Then he said he would send the report and he left. I'm still waiting for the report. I'm not sure what he can write in it because he didn't gather any information .

We hired them to perform a structural inspection of a house we are buying and the structural engineer uncovered some issues to a retaining wall that we will need to address down the line. It was pricey but worth it to get someone knowledgeable to review the structural integrity of the house.
