Tree Stump Removal
I hired Suburban to remove two stumps. I paid for the job, but when I tried to plant in the area, I found that they had not removed the stumps at all. They merely cut the shrubs down. I notified them to come and do the job for which they were paid. They said they would come and do it, but they never did--would not answer emails or phone calls. I finally called another company. I paid Suburban for nothing. I was disappointed because I really liked James Ballou. The worst thing of all was the lack of communication.

"My town is 2.43 square miles. I know almost every lifelong resident and I pride myself in this. I met Ed immediately upon contact. My foreman lives on his street and I grew up 1/2 mile away. He had several 9? arborvitae along his property line and against his house. I quoted him $500 to remove them and grind all the stumps. We are booked out over a month, but he had contractors lined up the landscape and to side his house. I told him we would fit him in post-haste. He was a really nice guy. About 4 days later, a Saturday nonetheless we arrived mid day between jobs in the area. I did a walk around with the guys and met the neighbor who abutted"

Great group of guys, but not very good at returning calls, the work was great but it took a while to get our job done, he was to return to remove some branches and he never came or called

"We get the job done on time. The customer added a tree when we finished the job. They asked us to just cut the tree down and leave it. We did. A few weeks later they called to have us come chip the branches of the tree we cut down. I never called back. Customer had something bad to say about every tree company around. We did what we were contracted to do and more on time."
