My Fiance and I hired Ken and his team in 2021, to build an addition over our garage that included two offices, a new bathroom and kitchen, completely rebuilding our staircase, adding fireplace and french doors to the master bedroom and downstairs, and a completely new kitchen remodel with full-home flooring. They helped us find some wonderful designers (Whitestone) who brought the design together well, and the outcome is beautiful! The crew helped us put some furniture in the drybox we didn't ask for and it was very helpful, as well as hanging and helping sort last minute things out.

We had two decks replaced that were about 50 years old. Ken and his crew did a wonderful job on the new decks. There was a lot of attention to detail. Ken and the crew took care of any questions and concerns we had during and after construction. The new decks are beautiful and solidly constructed.

Warning Do not trust !!!! Sharing my experience doing business with Summitview. I and my other two Neighbors gave him a shared project to build around 1.5-acre wetland buffer land (to fulfill city compliance requirements) The scope of the project was cleaning the bushes, planting around 1500 native plants, mulching the whole area, putting the irrigation system so plants do not die, and putting a split rail fence. He has excellent marketing skills and skills to gaining trust. He wanted to get paid upfront from me and my Neighbors as his way of doing the job. We paid him 70k dollars upfront. That is probably a mistake on our part. He started the project, cleaned up the bushes in few days, and took care of excavation of dirt as well. Right after that project started lingering for weeks and then months. He looked consistent on the promise to deliver. until one day when he disappeared, stopped responding to emails, stopped responding to calls. What he did is not even 25% of the project, We started getting pressure from the city, since it had deadlines and he stopped meetings with the city as well, being a project representative. We end up spending additional thousands of dollars to complete the project to stay compliant. I am not even mentioning two other shared projects ADA ramp and curb planting which he left in the middle as well, which we must spend even more to get city compliance. He has also damaged my personal property with his dangling unsecured material and made false promises to pay back on that. We have all the proves of payments, and email records for the communications.

Sarfraz Sheikh was a very difficult client that did not pay his bills or honor his agreements. He did not pay for change orders for the work completed and did not honor any agreements. He lied in arbitration with his friend Naveed Jabbar recently who is supposed to be a faith leader in the community. He also did not pay his bills and did not honor our agreements. We have been building for over 42 years and have never had a review like this."

Horrible!!! , I hired summit view construction around OCT 2019 to build a custom house, which was supposed to be completed in 6 to 7 months. I had to fire him in December 2020 with an incomplete house after several notices to complete the work. I and my family had to go through a lot of stress because of his false promises, and unprofessional attitude. he started good, won my trust and I ended up finding him my neighbors projects as well, all of them are crying now. he took upfront money from me and from my neighbors around 70k + for buffer area development ( it was a combined neighbors project mandate by the city) he did 20% work and left, there were some other projects that he did not complete and took the money upfront (yes, that was a mistake from our part to pay him upfront) walkway ramp, sidewalk tree planting other than my house project. he stopped paying poor subcontractors which I had to pay later on. he built the road for us and took material from Cadman. they were sending us lien threats and letters for not paying, which he was paid in full by us. Since he won my trust and I allowed him to use my credit card that he agreed to pay me back in writing but he never paid back, I overpaid him thousands of dollars despite being covered in the contract, and I ended up building my house myself. The reason I am writing today is that a family came up to my house asking if these three houses are built by Summit view Construction. Just to let you all know he just built one incomplete house which was mine, the rest of the houses were built by other builders that he claiming as his own. So please do your due diligence, and never pay him up front! I made lots of mistakes please you do not do those mistakes.

Ken was great. We had a tree fall on our house and it was kinda stressful working with insurance. Once Ken came along he took our problems onto his shoulders and made our lives a lot easier. Roof repair turned out great.

Unreliable when it comes to communicating with customers. Does not give regular updates on the work being done. Unable to fulfill his promises for the quality of work as well as provisions of the contract.

"This project originated in December 2019. It was communicated that this project needed to be permitted through the City of Kent. Todate we still do have a permit. I have kept this customer updated and did not received any email from the homeowner. This project is 82% complete with the exception of the work that is to be permitted. We did as much as we possible could to push this along but have had to stop until the building permit is in issued. The homeowner does not understand this and just wants to work done. They have since asked to cancel there agreement with us because they have lost confidence in us and because of the Covid-19 Epidemic. I have been a builder for over 42 years and do not have issues like this. I am sorry that I don't use Facebook to communicate. I communicate by email and thought it would be best to continue to do this as it is easier from me to type out updates. I am hoping that Home Advisor does a complete investigation of this issue and that a mutual remedy can be achieved. We have completed 82% of the work and the client has paid us for that work. The Money left in our contract with Lester and his family is the amount to building the canopy once the permit is issued. We are honest builders and work hard to build quality projects. Sometimes there is no way getting around folks that don't under the process and the bureaucracies we deal with on a daily basis. My architect confirmed to me today in his notes when we first met these folks together that he communicated that it would take months to get a permit. We are here to serve and not fight. In 2016 we decided to build a deck in our backyard. We had some challenges. 1) The deck needed to be built where an in-ground pool currently was located. 2) The deck would be 7 feet higher than our neighborâ s back yards and we needed advice on how to maintain privacy. 3) We only had $20,000 to spend. In 2017 we started looking for a contractor to build the deck. We interviewed about 40 contractors between 2017 and 2019. They were all either way too expensive, or we did not have confidence in their ability to do the work. I expected all of the contractors to have software capable of creating a blue print of the deck design just like I would expect them to all own a hammer and a saw. Out of over 40 contractors over a 3 year period only 5 had CAD (Computer Aided design) software and they wanted around $1,500 to put my design into the computer. I finally purchased some very expensive professional quality software ($500) and created my own detailed drawing of the deck. In the spring of 2018 I had a good quality drawing of the deck and the city of Kent had approved a permit. We interviewed Ken Lorenz in July of 2019. On our first meeting he came with a set of blue prints he had for a similar project he had completed (Wow what a difference in preparation). He knew exactly how to overcome the challenges of building where an in ground pool existed and having a deck that was 7 feet higher than the neighborâ s back yards. In addition his price was slightly lower than the best contractors we had previously interviewed. He started by filing the pool with Pea Gravel and then putting a high quality cement foundation with built in footings on top. In 4 months he and his team built a deck that is ABSOLUTLY beautiful! It has 4 kinds of lights, a privacy wall made from beautiful Red Cedar lattice, 2 color TREX flooring, a custom made Red Cedar stairway, and a beautiful bar top counter he custom made from Red Cedar. He built a deck that was higher quality than I asked for. He exceeded my expectations in every way. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a high quality job done at a very reasonable price. Ken and his team ripped out a 30 year old deck and entirely replaced it with a new beautiful deck in just a few days. There work was excellent and attention to detail is evident everywhere. They were fast and responsive to my requests. I am so happy with them I would definitely recommend!!!

Ken, along with his team of builders, was exceptionally easy to communicate with and convey what we hoped to accomplish in the restoration of our older dock. I was not prepared for the high cost at the end of the job, versus the estimate; but when Ken explained what all was replaced and showed receipts of the additional materials, it was easy to see. The dock came out beautifully and the entire team was easy to have around for the week. We shall see how the dock holds up, but for now, we are very pleased at the outcome and the company!
