Do not use them. Ed couldn't figure out that the fitting on my heater was a 2 in. Male fitting and said he had to bring it to his guy to find a fitting. He actually took the parts too. They cancelled on my multiple times and when they removed the cover, they left it spread out on my lawn in the rain. I had to call multiple times to have them come back. When they did, they rolled it up uncleaned. I very much recommend looking elsewhere for any pool needs.

I strongly recommend not using Sunshine Pools. Their work is substandard. I hired them to trouble shoot a leak in my pool liner. They made several patches and I paid them for the work. I continued to lose water. After multiple phone calls and waiting several weeks they came out again and patched again. The second time around they did not bill me and I thought that was fair considering the problem persisted. After a couple of weeks of continuing to lose water I found another company with a sonar detector, who was able to identify the source of the water loss. In fact the sonar company removed several patches that Sunshine Pools placed during their second effort and told me there were no leaks in those places. Water loss problem solved! $75, Yeah! However, 5 months later Sunshine Pools decided they forgot to invoice me for their second visit $175. I wrote a polite note telling them I had to hire another company and didn't think it was fair to pay twice. Sunshine didn't offer to forgive or reduce the $175. In stead they chose to threaten further action.

Easy to work with Ed, overall good experience. Very pleased with our liner replacement. Best price in the capital district.

This guy did a horrible job installing the cover. He didn't even show up on the day of install he sent his wife and kids to install it. They didn't even bother measuring the gridlines so the cover does not even fit properly. When I asked him to correct it and he started yelling at me and refused to even come have a look. I could've done it much better myself. Horrible experience stay away.

Sunshine Pools is literally a family business. They brought along their puppy and since we are dog lovers ourselves, we didn't mind. But it would have been nice and a courtesy to ask beforehand if it was ok. Install took a bit longer than anticipated but that was due to needing some extra gas pipe.. They left the work site clean and took the old heater with them.

his crew left my pool empty and ruined my liner.when you leave a used liner with no water,it shrinks. when they finally came back to do repair and tried filling the pool it broke and lost all water due to the liner shrinking. HE MADE NO EFFORT TO REPLACE DAMAGED LINER.

We hired this family run business to replace and retrofit the copping on an older pool. The end result was great. They are very reliable and professional. We would highly recommend they.

We hired Ed, but accomplished nothing but the removal of our old pool. We picked out a new pool for them to put in. When they came to install it, it was the wrong color. We ordered another pool and didn't hear from him for awhile. We decided to cancel since we were getting uncomfortable with the service. He said they were coming the next day(Saturday). They don't work weekends. We got very uncomfortable the next day when only 2 guys showed up at first, then a couple of more showed up a while later. We canceled. Now it has been 3 months and Ed won't send our deposit back.Can you help?

Helpful and quality workmanship

We spoke in depth to company before we hired him to open our pool,, mainly because we were capable of doing most/all of it ourselves. We specifically said, if you are going to only take the pool cover off and add chemicals, we don't want to hire you. That is all they did. Also, when we arrived home, water was squirting out of the pump.

Ed and his crew did an excellent job with measuring, installing, removing old liner, and returning to make sure the liner was without wrinkles because before the install and the draining of the pool we had buckets of rain, which caused the liner to float before it was removed since the draining had already been started. Ed charges a reasonable price, below other local businesses.
