Christian and the entire Sundahl team were great. Super professional, tidy and most importantly thorough. They were easy to work with and I always felt comfortable with their suggestions and open communication. The main foreman Jean was super knowledgeable. I called Sundahl Waterproofing to come and replace my existing French drain in July 2024 and Iâ m thankful I did! They advised me that the existing French drain was not installed properly and as such, there was not a lot of water draining into the sump pump. In addition, there were no weeping holes drilled in the walls to allow water to flow into the sump pump. When the new system was installed, I asked Chris to connect the new pump to the existing egress pipe I had my old sump pump connected to. Chris advised against this because he could not see where the egress pipe was outside but, I insisted. One month later after a few days of steady rain, my sump pump wasnâ t pumping out water and would turn on and off every few minutes. I called Chris and after some troubleshooting, he said heâ d come over and replace the pump as thatâ s what we believed the problem was. When Chris got to my house and saw what was going on, he said the pump wasnâ t the problem. After running a snake twenty-five feet through the egress pipe, he was able to identify that the pipe was clogged, and the water could not drain out. Now, water was able to be pumped out of my egress pipe for years with no issue (I assumed) but, when I dug it up in the front yard, we both saw it was clogged. Chris was able to unclog the pipe and water began pumping out with no issues. My advice to everyone is to not assume that your existing drainpipe is fine. Iâ d advise that, if possible, another egress pipe is installed when adding or replacing a French drain and sump pump. While everything worked fine for years, I just assumed whoever did the initial French drain did it correctly. What I learned was that since the old French drain was improperly installed and the volume of water being pumped out was low, there was no way for me to tell I had a problem until the existing system was replaced with one that worked correctly. Thanks to Chris, we were able to identify the problem ASAP before another storm was due to hit my area that day! Iâ m thankful Chris has the knowledge and experience to quickly identify issues and find a way to remediate them.

We thought we had adequately protected our basement against flooding. Recent storms proved us wrong. We had several instances in the past couple of year that resulted in several inches of water, resulting in damage to property and hazardous mold. Had my outside house powerwashed. Look's like new again. Very happy with the price and workmenship. One man job and didn't stop for a break until completion. He wasn't happy with the outcome of his work on one side of the house and stated that he would return during the week with a cleaning solution and redue that portion of the house. Real professional and I would recommend him to anyone.
