"We did this job in August 2016. We were contacted December 2017 by them to come take a look at loose stone. We provide a 1 year warranty and even though the warranty was up we said we would come out and take a look after the weather turned better. We had one of the worst winter and rain seasons on record and have never heard back from them until this. Spoke with customer and he had previously disassembled the paver patio himself to install more poly sand. you can not pick up the pavers. They are interlocking for a reason."

Communication and scheduling was complicated. They only communicate through email. I needed to talk to someone. The quality of the wall is very good, however it took months to get them to come back to do touch-up. There were promises, promises...I finally had my handyman complete the touch-ups.

Brian and his crew raised my carport roof and replaced the concrete pad and ramp. They were professional and there were no shortcut. The cost was reasonable and the crew was professional and answered all questions straight forward. I would recommend them highly if anybody needs any construction work done.

They we very professional, gave us a very good quote which fit our budget. There was a slight weather delay which they contacted us about and followed right away with a new work date. The crew arrived as scheduled and set right to work. The overall workmanship was excellent. Everything was cleaned up after the project was complete. I would recommend them to any one. We have been very pleased with our new driveway

WE liked working with Brian and his team. Friendly, courteous and very helpful in design and layout of driveway. Have received a number of compliments on the driveway. Have a few minor repairs for Brian but promised to come back this Spring to fix. When done would move the rating to a 5 star.

The crew was very nice and professional. They finished up the patio. I also had them install a retaining wall (with fence on top) and this has not been completed. I have tried to get them back to finish the project. We scheduled times but they do not show up (missed 6 scheduled times). They never contacted me before they were late and when they did follow up it was a consistent stream of excuses on their end. They never showed up and finished the work and were supposed to refund the money from the project but they said that I canceled the contract so they kept all of my money. I have been in contact with Homeadvisor's Customer Resolution team also and nothing has been done to rectify the situation.

"First she contracted for a retaining wall, which we completed. Then she contracted for a patio which we completed. Then she called about a fence multiple times, She was unhappy with the companies she spoke to because they would not install on top of the wall, which we said we could do for her so we signed a 3rd contract.She informed us that she did not have the finances to pay once we were complete so we put her on a $500 a month payment plan for 4 months interest free. At the time of the signing she was informed that the material was a special order, it would take 3-4 weeks to come in. She was fine with that. We did not miss 6 scheduled times. Once fence material arrived we informed her that it was in.We had a job in front of her that we were working on and told her that we would be out once that job was completed. We did miss that date because previous job took longer than expected. We called her to inform her of the delay, she understood. 2nd appt for installation it rained, she understood. Meanwhile she informed me her husband fell and broke his hand and she hurt her leg and her sister had a stroke. She grew patient and said she wanted to cancel the contract and hire another contractor. We were in constant contact with her and gave us a 4 star rating and commended us. I understand the situation on needing the fence for the dogs and it is very stressful for her. As far as the refund, We have a refund policy and she will be receiving a refund per our contract. Home advisory resolution team has been in contract with us and her, they have reviewed and have closed the complaint . by no means are we perfect and have has some delays and issues like all companies do in our 20 years. We do strive to make all our customers happy but sometimes it is not possible. Our reviews on Home Advisory show we do our best to try to make our customers happy. UPDATE: PER OUR CONTRACT CUSTOMER HAS BEEN PROVIDED A FULL REFUND"

Retaining Wall Installation
We had a retaining wall built that required function over aesthetics since we won't see the wall. Brian clearly understood the requirements of the wall to ensure no future issues of leaning, cracking, etc. On that, I assume they did a quality job so only time will tell if they did. In addition to the wall, we are having them install a privacy fence that has not begun work yet. Overall, we have been very pleased with the responsiveness, workmanship, and customer service.

We hired Sunfire Construction to replace our front brick steps that had become separated from the foundation of our home. We were so impressed with Brian Furrow and his team of professionals. He was very prompt with communication via email, the crews were courteous and respectful of our property, the clean-up was meticulous and the finished job was great. We are very happy with their work. We would hire them again and we highly recommend them!!

Sunfire did an amazing job of tying in a patio with pavers around our in-ground pool, to make our little backyard oasis that much more enjoyable. All of the employees were extremely professional and courteous. When we ran into a couple of (minor) snags, Brian was quick to rectify the issues. We would highly recommend Sunfire to anyone and look forward to doing more work with them again in the near future.

I hired Sunfire Construction to replace the driveway and sidewalk in front of my residence. The new driveway was satisfactory, but the replaced sidewalk had many deficiencies which has yet to be corrected. My dissatisfaction was with the shabby and unprofessional manner in the way the concrete was laid. There was no consistency in the width of the sidewalk, edges were rough, uneven, and unsightly. The height of the external side of the sidewalk was higher than the internal side causing water to drain towards my home leaving standing water puddles that has caused water damage to the basement. Mr. Furrow still has not communicated with me or revisited my residence to address my concerns. I still have the same deficient sidewalk with no corrective actions taken or pending. I've done everything I could to at least have him come, look and address my concerns. Without any success, I filed a small claim in court to force at least a partial reimbursement of my payment for the project. The Sunfire Construction owner responded to my complaint and my initial review by stating, I had a "history of taking companies to court" but as far as my complaint was concern, he stated he received a ruling in his favor and that he had done nothing wrong. What he did not say was that the ruling was not based on my complaint but on his counter-claim under a deceitful provision of the contract that state, "In case of legal action has to be taken, all legal fees are the sole responsibility of the customer". This was the cause for a payment of $2500 with no receipts or records provided by the owner, but just a stipulation of the fees offered by his attorney. Speaking of court actions, I am not the only customer who has had difficulty with the payment of fees. I would urge potential customers of Sunfire Construction to review public online cases recorded at the Spotsylvania Co., Prince Williams Co., Stafford Co., and Caroline Co. General District Courts and you will find a series of rulings against the owner on a host of civil law suits. Over three years have passed and he has yet to at least come to my home and assess the nature of my complaint. I've paid more in legal fees than the cost of the project itself and the sidewalk remains in its unsatisfactory condition.

"the client was not contracted through Home Adviser. I run multiple crews and check in daily on the job and are in constant contract with my qualified foreman that oversee the job. The forms for the concrete were reviewed by client and we were given the OK to pour the concrete. A sidewalk that has multiple curves and that is S shape has no consist width due to the curves themselves. Any communication between us an the client was handled in court (that we had to appear 3 times over 3 years) and though our lawyers. the court verdict was in our favor of no wrong and customer had to pay us $2500.00. this client stated in email that he would do everything possible to provide our company with an negative impact We strive to provide the best service to our customers as 99% of our reviews state. There are some that you can not make happy no matter how excellent the job is, even a client that has a history or taking companies to court."

Sunfire Construction just completed a new concrete driveway and Flagstone porch and walkway at my home. It all looks fantastic! Everyone on the crew was easy to work with, did a great job and cleaned up the yard when the work was completed. Brian kept us well informed on any changes to the schedule via email. I am so pleased with the finished products. I highly recommend this company.

I hired Brian to re-seal my stamped concrete hardscapes. He over-estimated the amount of sealant to be used and I felt the price was very high for the job. Once complete, however, the concrete did look amazing. After a few years of settling, I found a few large cracks in the concrete so I hired him to fill them. I was extremely dissatisfied with this job which he over-charged me as well. Instead of doing this job properly, he just inserted caulk into the cracked concrete, which after just a couple weeks, the caulk had shrunk and was riddled with cracks. I contact Brian to fix it and I never heard from him. I hired a different concrete mason who explained how the job should have been done properly. He completed the job in a timely manner and his fee was reasonable. Needless to say, I will not recommend Brian or use him again.
