Sunny Boy Home Repairs

DO NOT USE. Gill Solis and Sunny Boy Home Repairs is an unprofessional group who perform shoddy work and overcharge. They performed half the services they contracted with us, left, and never returned. Every time we arranged for a time and date for them to complete their contracted project, they failed to show up. In the end, we had to go with a completely different contractor, costing us twice the money, in order to complete the project. We STRONGLY recommend that you DO NOT USE this contractor. We are filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

He was very nice, on time, professional and polite.He really wasn't a furniture repair man, but he didi the job, and was conscientous. he did have to go to Home Depot for materials. I hope the chairs stay repaired. I may call him again for something else later down the road.

This contractor was supposed to hook-up a gas line to our stove. but after install we smelled gas and had to hire a plumber as Gil Solis could not find the leaks. The plumber said he did not use pipe joint tape/compound and used flex line rather than solid metal pipes (which was against code). He did not use the templates to install the recessed ceiling lites so they fell down through the over-sized holes. He broke one faux beam while installing it and cut two others incorrectly so be had to seam/caulk the beams together which looked really bad. He buys double the material and returns excess without crediting client for the returns.

We hired Gill to do some concrete work and install doors in our bedroom where there is now a window. We were so happy with the original concrete work that we planned to hire him in the future for some tile work and painting. However, we advanced money to him for the purchase of the doors and it never happened. There is a small area where the concrete work was not completed and the doors were never installed. We asked for a refund of $1300 and have had no response. We are no longer able to reach him.

At first I was nervous, because Gill got started working the project without giving me an estimate. In the end, he completed what I needed for 1/10 the cost of competitors. I am pleased.

Gil was the first to call and appeared to be eager to assist me. I own a home in Coachella, however, I live in Tucson, AZ. Gil made me feel secure that my house would be in good hands.
