Addition to Existing Structure Building Service
Since they did not totally complete the job, and it took well over a year to get most of what I wanted done, I would never recommend them to anyone. They have made the TV news for skipping out on customers. One of their contractors, L & L Brothers Plumbing, took money from me and never came back to complete the job.

Asphalt Shingle Roofing - Install or Replace
The roof looks great. The only problem was in communication between the workers and the contractor. We had new gutters already and they were supposed to take them down and put them back up. The worker destroyed them, but the company did replace them at no additional charge to us. The correction has taken longer than we expected though. I would work with the company and recommend them to others.

The sales rep/estimator was very nice. The subcontractors didn't seem to be on the same team as Sunnyside. The subcontractor contacted me two weeks after completetion and payment to ask if I had paid Sunnyside because they had not been paid. The vents were not the agreed upon vents, and were too low on the roof. When I asked they be changed and another added, it was done, but another incorrect vent was added. After I paid the bill they did not respond to any requests. Nails and debris were not cleaned up, but they did pay $15 for the flat tire I got as a result. The subcontractors did a good job of trying to protect my landscaping. The subcontractors were pretty good, Sunnyside was much less than desired.

Addition to Existing Structure Building Service
Sunnyside Construction Company started this job on 6/12/03 and as of 11/25/03 the job is still not finished. Sunnyside will not return any of my calls. I have filed a complaint with the State of Michigan and the BBB. I have hired an lawyer to sue this company. This company operates under the assumed names of 1)SUNNYSIDE CONSTRUCTION OF YPSILANTI INC. 2)KING COBRA CONSTRUCTION CO. 3) SUNNYSIDE CONSTRUCTION INC. 4) SUNNYSIDE CONSTRUCTION OF MICHIGAN INC. 5) SUNNYSIDE CONSTRUCTION OF LIVONIA INC. Now I understand why the subcontracter that work for this company call the shadyside. Since I hired them partly because of your recommendation I would appreciate any assistance that you can give me in getting this addition fixed.
