We needed to have the wiring for a ceiling fan looked at because the switches were not working correctly. It took him about 5 minutes to make correction and he charged us $150.00! Much too high for the work he did. Make sure to ask for quote before hiring!

This was for a bathroom exhaust fan and light install and I originally asked about running a new wire from the switch and GFI to the new location for the fan. It turns out that all that was done was a new wire spliced to the existing one which did extend the fan to where I needed it. It cost me $150 for what turned out to be about 5 feet of wire and fan connection. Seems a bit high but I will say that the quote and install were done the same day and and both people, Mike & the installer, were very friendly and said this was OK for code so all in all I am fine with the job and would recommend them and will certainly consider them for any future wiring I may have. I'll just make sure we are both on the same page.

I had a hot tub to be wired to code, and David with Sunset Electric completed the job on time and on budget. It was a complicated job to wire up my hot tub, but it seemed to be easy for him to complete. I would highly recommend Sunset Electric for any job.

Their overview about "on time, within budget & do it right the first time" was the OPPOSITE of our experience. The owner met w/ us/builder/general contractor, outlined services & failed to provide. They failed inspection, never corrected the problem, charged us for items never performed & sent the outstanding balance to a collection agency. They used our tools,left us to make corrective repairs. Crew was nice & we fault the owner as their experience was not as promised. Sunset did not meet our expectations or standards. We were disappointed by the lack of interest to resolve the issues & in 15+ years we never encountered this type of problem.
