At the contractor's suggestion, I selected the extra thick liner, and the installation was done on schedule, on budget, professionally and to my satisfaction, paid by credit card on 4/28/2008. However, a couple of weeks ago a tear appeared in the liner (due to a long overseas trip I had not used the pool at all this year, 2010), and now I am unable to get the contractor to even return my calls (July 8 and July 9) to discuss a warranty repair or replacement. As the company's voicemail is functioning fine, they've received my messages. I tried to rate this contractor with 0 stars, but the system won't let me

"I recieved one message on the 9th and never heard back so i assumed problem was fixed, the warranty after the first year is with the manufacture and according to your statement above you haven't even contacted them as of yet. Its up to the manufacture on repair or replace and labor is not covered at all but i will do for free in the first year at my expense and nobody else's. I will foward you my response to your statement as well"

Good price and came within two weeks of contract (weather was a factor). He has failed to finish the installantion (from Novmember to May) and does return phone calls sor emails. He has dropped off the face of the earth. I am current with a pa;etiallyi complted pool.

"the only thing that wasn't finished was coping clips that are obsolete and something has to be retro fitted for pool, you also fail to note that you were never charged for those clips either, other then a $50 item we went above and beyond for you on the pool repair"

We haven't built yet with Sunset Pools, but definitely plan to. Their customer service, honesty, and quality is outstanding from what we have seen so far. Eric, is so helpful in the decision making process and his outgoing personality and commitment to customer service is remarkable. We look forward to working with them.

Competitive pricing, prompt service. Left the site (my yard) very clean and neat when done and the workers were courteous. All around good job and even did a few minor extra detail without being asked or charging for, Good customer service to make sure everything was done right.

I was very pleased with the experience I had with Sunset Pools. The person who places phone calls for this company was outstanding. He made sure I understood exactly what needed to be done. the crew seemed very knowledgeable and completed the project very quickly. Only negative I have is that my grandson learned a few not so good words while listening to their conversation. Overall though, I don't think you could find a company to do better work!

Our experience with your company is outstanding. We had 2 other pool companys that had to turn down our pool job because they didn't have the experience to take over the job from the prior pool company. Because of the way our pool job was left, it made it very hard for someone without a great deal of knowledge and experience to be willing to take over and redo what the prior pool company had messed up. Because of your intelligence and love for a challenge we were so blessed to have hired you to do our work. We would highly recommendthis company to anyone. You guys are just the greatest. may you prosper from the fruits of your labor!

Eric Hjelm of Sunset Pools is great! He started and finished the work when he said he would and did a great job. I'm having them do additional work at my home that I confidently feel they will do great as well.

We had our pool installed in Sept of 2007. They were great with the installation but since do not return calls...we have horrible concrete and coping problems. We have made every attempt to contact and keep them notified of our problems but they continue to not return our calls. They also did a terrible job of opening our pool this season 2010 and I notified the owner of this and was still charged full price. We have since found a new pool/service provider and will no longer use Sunset pools for our seasonal provider. It's sad that you spend $40,000 on a pool and cannot trust that the company who installed will take care of their clients

Henry came out quickly and measured my pool completely the first time, unlike other companies (which all did rough estimates). He seemed to be very knowledgeable and answered any questions I had. The only minor issue I had was that he does take a bit of time to respond to e-mails, however, he does eventually respond. The installation of the cover went well and when an issue occurred with the cover, he took it back to have the manufacturer correct the problem.

Professional, efficient, polite, and knowledgeable about swimming pools and their construction. Sunset Pools did an excellent job completing the opening of my pool, fixed an in-pool, underwater light that had been broken for 4-years by another pool company who would not come back to fix it, and installed a new vacumn pump. The Sunset pool specialists cleaned up areas where they worked and left everything in excellent condition. I will recommend Sunset Pools & Construction to my friends and neighbors with swimming pools.

Full crew arrived for every phase of construction. Very knowledgeable folks and easy to approach with changes and questions. Reasonable pricing and lots of options. I also like the fact that they are a onestop shop. I did not have to search around for an electrician, or water supplier. We are going to really enjoy our pool!
