Personal service, on time, excellent quality work

Worst hiring decision I ever made and I should have written this review sooner! This job is so bad I hate using my own pool because it makes me angry and ashamed. I hired them to acid wash my pool. John, the owner, talked me into letting them repair existing mortar/Grout work that was beginning to fail. I was out of town initially when the work began but arrived home during the project. The workers would show up late (around 1:00 PM) and lose light before they finished the cleanup leaving it to me. These guys applied the wrong color mortar on most sections smearing it into the flagstone surrounding my pool. It cannot be removed. I had to ask them to redo their work on every task including acid washing which annoyed them. All they wanted to do was to re-fill the pool and clear out. Their original bid, that we accepted, included the removal of all existing mortar. They failed to supervise their employees who smeared mortar over the old. They dumped unused mortar in our flower beds and got white mortar on our driveway that I cant remove. On a positive note...they use a good product because it cant be removed with acid, power washing or elbow grease. This company smeared mortar on our black iron gate that I had freshly painted. They claimed they had removed the existing mortar, however, they did not remove any existing mortar until I insisted and then only a small percentage was done after John brought in his best rock guy to fix the other;s work. I wondered why I didnt get the best rock guy to begin with. I paid them far too much up front so repairing the work was not in their best interest. They applied the right color mortar finally but smeared a thin coating of light color mortar over dark (wrong) color mortar so that the wrong color is now starting to show through only weeks later. I spent at least 8 hours of my own time cleaning the mortar joints, in and around the pool, they left and that was the only reason the project even came close to an barely acceptable level These guys even mortared our inspection plate to the skimmer basket closed. It took 30 minutes to chip the mortar away so I could clean the basket. We later found they impacted mortar into our water feature that we have had to chip out. I hired these guys because of their good reviews on this site. Please do not let these reviews fool you. These guys are horrible. I have plenty of pictures of their shoddy work if you would like to see before and after hiring them. They said they would fix my issues. I thought about letting them come back but I didnt trust them to repair work that had gone so badly. I am not sure that this project can be repaired. I will likely have to completely start over on a very expensive remodel just to fix what they destroyed. They offered a one year warranty on their work which honestly is laughable. I feel stupid for hiring these guys and have been reluctant to hire other contractors for any project because of this situation. The job they did was horrible. They left us worse off than when we started and the cost to repair our coping and pool is over $5000. This company was not on time, left debris in our pool, sealed over dirt and would not come back to repair any of the damage. I would definitely never hire this company again. They are by far the worst company I have ever worked with. Warning, DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!

The work delivered was not the work promised and explain to us as delivered. Communication over site of his crew was terrible. Follow up and resolution of incomplete work was lacking. Definitely would not recommend to anyone.

Good customer services,very professional

I selected Suntastic to replaster my pool after interviewing 3 other contractors. They showed up on time and completed the work on the time schedule we agreed upon. They brushed the plaster for me for 3 days while I was out of town during the first week. They also came back for an extra week to darken the plaster when i was not fully satisfied with the tint of the plaster. This also required another week of brushing which they took care again for a few days while I was gone. Great customer service. I would definitely recommend them and will use them again.

Through Home Advisor, I interviewed 3 different Pool companies to resurface the pool and add to the current concrete pad. I selected Suntastic Pools based on their willingness and ability to do this job. It took a little longer than anticipated, however, we were amazed at the quality of work and overall how well the pool turned out. We love it and decided to hire Suntastic Pools to maintain the Pool as well.

Great service, great work, will definitely do business with him again.
