Super nice people, several attempts to fix our problem but can't do it (probably just an unfixable problem), did not charge us a penny

I purchased an AC unit from Jay, which was also installed by Jay. The installation phase was very very bad. After several fail attempts to get the AC to run properly. He eventually walked away refusing do further corrective repairs. The end results was me contacting Four Season to assess and repair a bad installation job. It cost me $600 dollars to repair a bad installation job

Everything went smoothly.

When searching for an estimate to repair my A/C I came across Home Advisor and received a call from Jay at Super Appliance Man. The very first thing I told Jay was that I was not interested in making any decisions but needed some questions answered. Jay took the time to hear my situation and gave me his honest feedback concerning the work that was completed and needed to be done. Because of his sincerity I made sure to save his number in my phone for future work if necessary. Here comes the best part. So I am dealing with my insurance company and the original contractor who was referred by a friend. As I continued to work with this other contractor, I began to feel uneasy about how the whole situation is transpiring. Then a light bulb goes off, how about I call that guy Jay...he was very helpful! So I call Super Applicance Man and a very nice lady answers the phone and transfers me over to Jay, whom I asked to speak with. Jay answers the phone and I say to him "Hello Jay this is Antonio we spoke the other day regarding my A/C unit". Jay's response was "Yes Mr. Ortiz, I remember very well, you had a lot of questions that I was able to answer. " My mind was blown, not only did he completely remember my situation but based off of one call he remembered my name. I did not give my last name when I called the second time, now that's what you call customer service. No, it doesn't end there. So I explain to Jay my situation again and how I felt uncomfortable with the current contractor. I explained to him the cost and how this contractor is telling me that he will need to wait until checks clear before he can do the work...and other negative scenarios after another. Jay resolves all of my problems in one sentence. He says "Mr. Ortiz, I can have your new A/C unit up and running by the end of the day tomorrow and we will figure everything else out!" All of this from one phone call. Needless to say, Jay came out the next day early in the morning to see what type of work needed to be done, had an new A/C unit ordered and installed by the time I came home from work that evening. He also check on other areas for improvements and provided hints about how to maintain the new unit and some other pointers. If any of the above was not enough I want to be sure to mention that Jay took it upon himself to surprise us with a new thermostat. I originally asked what the additional cost for a thermostat would be and he said I can do it for this much extra. We shook hands on it but I didn't realize it was going to get done the same day. He had mentioned some concerns about what he saw and took care of the work himself! Jay is not only personable but his passion for what he does exceeds that of anyone I have ever encountered in his profession." Lastly, Jay even followed up with us the next day to make sure that everything was running smoothly and to see if we had any more questions or concerns. I have never had such a good experience with a contractor in Chicago before! Jay was extremely professional, timely, communicated exceptionally well, and went above and beyond to give me such great customer service that I am actually astounded. Not only did he replace my air conditioner at an amazing price and very quickly, he also made sure I understood the process and why it was necessary. He went above and beyond to get my unit up and running by working through a weekend and after cutting his hand pretty bad. I have already recommended him to multiple friends of mine that work in the real estate industry (as do I) and wish him nothing but the best in his business endeavors as he certainly deserves it.

Thank you, Homeadvisor for referring us to Super Appliance Man! We had a wonderful experience with this company and with Jay! Jay is a true professional and we are so happy with his excellent work! We can't thank Jay enough! He came to fix a leak with our Fisher Paykel dishwasher and the glass top of our Viking Stove,which he fixed very quickly! He also replaced our filter in our fridge. I then found out he also fixes air conditioners and had him take a look at ours. Jay is a blessing! We were told by another company that we had to replace 2 of our AC units that were made in the 1980's, which would have cost $10,000 -$12000 total! However, when Jay took a look at our Air Conditioners, he told my husband and I that they didn't need replacing at all! With one of the Air Conditioners, he just flipped a switch and the air conditioner started working! Free of charge! The other Air Conditioner needed a new compressor. He ordered the part and came back the next day and fixed it right away! We also had our thermostats replaced. We are so thankful that there are honest and kind people like Jay in the world who we trust. He works hard for each and every one of his clients and also tries to find ways to help his clients save money. Thanks, Jay and thanks, Super Appliance Man! My husband and I can't thank you enough! We will definitely be using Jay and Super Appliance Man's service again and would recommend to family, friends and our neighbors.

The repairman was very professional and knows his job well. Had no problem diagnosing the exact problem.

The dryer is now working but I have a new issue with the dryer making a thumping noise. I called to find out when can this be serviced, I don't know if I will be charged another service fee? But I am not satisfied at this point because this was not happening before. I hope this can be resolved quickly. UPDATE: They came back, did not charge another service fee and did an excellent job!
