Write a ReviewProfessional and knowledgeable. Very helpful too.
Super Service Today did not respond in a timely manner, over-quoted us by a thousand dollars, misdiagnosed our problem in a way that could have proven catastrophic (if we had not gotten a second opinion) and then tried to withhold the return of our deposit to try to get us to sign an **agreementâ that we would not post a bad review**. The order of events: 1.Response in a timely manner: Our toilet and two sinks overflowed, with water cascading down from that bathroom to the basement below. We went with Super Service Today because they were the first phone call to an emergency plumber to get through, and had reasonably good reviews online. The overflow stopped on its own, and the company said it wasnâ t that much of an emergency, so theyâ d stop by between 8 and 10 the next morning. At 10 am, I called them, as no one had shown up. They apologized and said someone would definitely be there by noon. At noon, I called them again and told them we were going with another plumbing company. They said theyâ d sub-contract someone else, in order to keep control of the situation. The company they sent found the blockage, snaked the pipe, and hit a blockage in the sewer leading to the street; they could not investigate further because they were only sub-contracted. 2.Over-quote and misdiagnosis: Super Service Today sent one of their plumbers to take a video of the sewer line. This person hit the same blockage and diagnosed the problem as tree roots, then laid out escalating packages to fix it. The lowest level (and what this plumber recommended wholeheartedly) was hydro-jet, a high-powered water burst that can clear tree roots; this was quoted at $1600. The next level was the replacement of that segment ($5000 or so) or the replacement of the whole sewer ($25000 or so). He said the problem was urgent and urged us to pick the jet. I hesitantly agreed and paid the deposit. Later that day, I got uncertain and curious and looked up what other companies charged for hydro-jet, and found it was between $300 and $500. At this point, we canceled our hydro-jet service with Super Service Today and searched for another company. The company we chose took a new video of the line and showed us the truth: there was a misjoin in the line, rather than tree roots, so the two segments were partially offset from each other. They told us that if weâ d chosen the (overpriced) hydro-jet, weâ d have likely created an enormous sinkhole and done catastrophic damage to our sewer system. We went with them for the repair of that sewer segment, which went smoothly. 3.Withholding our deposit and the agreement: We wanted to conclude business with Super Service Today and get our deposit back. Super Service Today sent us a legal document to sign in order to get our deposit; it stated that we would be prohibited from posting a negative review. I consulted a lawyer friend who confirmed that we needed no **agreement** to get our deposit back and that this was fraudulent. They tried to force the issue one more time and only relented when we said weâ d submitted a challenging claim to our credit card company for the charge. Then, they were very apologetic on the phone as they returned our deposit, as well as an extra $100 refund for our trouble.
Do not let them into your house. I hired them to replace two leaking fittings on a irrigation pump. The first thing they tried to do was to sell me a $3000 job to replace the entire pump. They then charged me $600 to replace the fittings, only they did not replace both fittings, and the plumber said replace fitting rather than fittings in the proposal. The plumber finished up, and guess what? He wanted to charge me another $600 to replace the other fitting, claiming that he did not know that the other fitting was leaking because of some bullshit excuse. I threw him out of the house. I got another plumber in and he charged me $300 for the same work. So they tried to charge me $1200 for a $300 job.
Terrible experience First, terrible customer experience. I had to speak with 3 different people in the back office to get a meeting scheduled and it was difficult to communicate with them as I had to call the main office to talk about my case. I was looking for annual maintenance of my heater system plus a quote on some other work. I provided a detailed description of the water heater plus pictures requested by the main office. I was told I would be charged $58 for the quote or $180/hour to do the actual job. Workman shows up with no idea of what project he is working on and is unfamiliar with the water heater system as he spends an hour on the phone with his tech support. Plus, he damaged the insulation on my stainless steel water heater looking for an anode rod that did not exist. The water tank would have been serviced as part of the Water Heater servicing. Workman did not have the parts to service the water heater and all I receive is a quote which was supposed to be $58 but I am charged $180 for **service done**, even though no service was performed! I learned my lesson on never using one of this firm again.
They came when they said they would and completed the job in even less time than they thought they would. It was a pricey job but that wasn't their fault. They cleaned up afterward and all of the men were friendly and happy to answer all of my questions.

Very professional; completed work quickly. Would highly recommend.
Misunderstanding about expenses they said when they came they would give me an estimate and then when I said the Fossett was leaking he just fix the faucet and he had other things that needed done and they wanted to charge a lot more for it and also said they should do a diagnostic I do not know what the initial visit was for I thought they were going to tell me how much it was dead so almost $1800 for two Fossetts seems a bit pricey a lot of misunderstanding but they did follow through and fix it it just cost a lot and when they said I could get it done for less but I picked out the Fossett said they would be guaranteed I did not want to do that and I was so tired with illness in the family that I did not wanna pursue another Plumber should have looked into others but was just too tired at least the Fossetts work now and I am almost out $2000.
The tub faucet stem was broken off. I called them on Monday and set an appointment for Friday. They canceled on Friday and rescheduled for Tuesday. The man came out and fixed the stem. Which I supplied. Total time he charged 1.5 hrs. Total time on job a half hour. Total cost $450. That is $300 per hour.
Good company, efficient, timely, made sure everything was to my liking, I would surely recommend this company.
