Project: Repair or Service Swimming Pool or Accessories - In Ground
If I could give a negative number I would. First contracted with Mr. Remer in April of 2019. Here are the issues with his service: 1. He diagnosed a faulty pump as the problem with my pool. When the pump was replaced, at a cost of almost $1500, the system still did not work. He couldn't fix it, so I had to get an electrician. When I asked about the pump that had been removed, he said he couldn't find it. I believe that pump worked, and he just sold it to someone else. 2. Once the system was circulating, the pool was green. We agreed to $800 to get the pool clean. That took from the end of April to the end of June. TWO MONTHS 3. He made some changes in the system and made several damages: a. He replaced the valve at the top of the filter, and it broke after he had left. Fortunately another contractor identified it, and we were able to turn it off, but not until the leak had leaked at least a thousand gallons of water. b. Finally, after we got everything working, we now have a leak, and have never had a leak. Of course, he was not able to fix it. 4. After all that, he finally finished his work on June 30th. He then sent me a threatening text message on JULY 4th that he was going to put a lien on my house if he did not get his money. He also charged an additional $400 dollars. 5. Total charges More than $2700 and a leaking pool. Stay away from this man. He is lazy, arrogant, and dangerous. If he were in a professional field, such as medicine or law or health care, he would literally be in jail for the way he does his job.
Response by Superior Pools and Fence: I don't know if I have enough space to post my review about this customer. His pool was sitting for two summers with no filtration running. He had moved to Florida the previous year. Pool was full of algae and debris when I was contracted. He was putting his house on the market to sell. The electrical wasn't working therefore, he hire a electrician to repair the problem. Three weeks later, we discovered his pool pump was out. I replace same and we never could get the pool filled at mid way up on the skimmer. It stayed about one inch up on the skimmer. Never completely filling. This pool and attached spa is a gunite construction with tile. The plaster was is bad shape with tile falling off. What work that we did had no effect on leakage. I tried to explain it to him but to no avail. After extensive shocking the water, We finally was able to get the pool to clear up. One of the reasons for not clearing quicker was poor circulation. The spa pump was needing to be replaced but was never replaced. I've been in business for thirty years and if I was as bad as he says that I am, I don't think I would still be in business. I strive to do the upmost job for my clients. By the way, I am a Realtor also and yes I did sort of threaten him with a lien being put on his house. He wouldn't respond to my calls. Thirty seconds later he called me. I couldn't hold a license in Real estate if I performed like this. If he reads this, I still have your pump if you want it. It was tested and proved to be of no good. Thank you.

I can t say enough good things about superior Pools and Fence. They were so professional and charged me $800 less than what my previous pool company quoted me to fix a repair. They ve made my pool sparkling clean and clear almost immediately when the other pool company had one issue after the next. I would recommend them anytime. They are very reliable and professional.
Response by Superior Pools and Fence: I really appreciate your kind words Lisa. I wish that you could have called me sooner, instead this late in the season. Your pool looks great now. Tim
