Aluminum or Steel Fence Installation
There are problems with Sureshot Metal Works that I didn't foresee before I hired Jake to fabricate and install a custom steel fence in my backyard. We went in to contract on May 6. After a few weeks, he lied to me about having completed the fence and put the blame on the powder coating company. Then a couple weeks later, he confessed to his lie and said he was still working on the fence. He sent me photos of the fence set up in his driveway and garage to confirm the current status of his work. Weeks went by before I heard from him again, and then he told me that his wife had left him and went to California. Jake emailed me about his plans to bring the fence panels and posts to my house so he could make sure they all fit together before completing the project. He said that the gate was still not made. And I haven't heard from him since July 28th; tomorrow it will be three weeks. I have paid him half of the contract we signed, which is $4,505; the total price we agreed on was $9,010.
