We had a dubious staircase, a floppy rail system, and rotten spots in our large deck. Surface Bella fixed all three concerns. Work was done in a timely fashion. Staircase is beautiful. Railing is very nice and there are no more holes in our deck. I recommend surface Bella for deck repairs for the work quality and their great communication.

Bathroom - Remodel
I hired this company to remodel a very small bathroom and replace flooring. I had to wait double the amount of time promised to start the project! If I had not called them I would have never been updated on very much! WHEN the contractor did start the work they would come one day for a couple of hours and then say they would be back tomorrow and then when tomorrow came it was another excuse for why they would not be back that day! I would DEFINITELY not recommend them!

At first I gave them a bad review because of the person they sent to do the work. After talking to the owner and his team I understood a little more of what went into this project. It was not a simple project to begin with and I was a little frustrated that it was taking so long. After sending other people to finish the project my bathroom is coming along nicely. They are even fixing the mistakes the first person made. Over all the team is very nice and easy to work with. Being a recently widowed woman Tim met me at Floor & Decor to help me with the items I needed to buy. He let me pick what I wanted but was there for guidance. He personally brought over a niche to put in my shower and sent picture of shower faucets I might like.

The quality of work promised at signing was not delivered. The company subcontracted all the work so there is little in the way of quality control; workmanship was not craftsman level. The crew did not follow code requirements for the installation. We had to have the carpenter return to make major corrections to the installation. The company was more concerned with being paid than the quality of the installation. I would not recommend Surface Bella to anyone considering engaging with them based upon our experience.

They built a deck for us. The workers (subcontractors ) were in a rush and were sloppy with their work. I had to correct them on more than one occasion. When they finished after 2 days work I complained to the administration. They said they would correct my grievances, (mainly posts that needed to be shimmed because the cuts were incorrectly made). They never came back to fix the issue. I did it myself.

Concrete Floor Coating-Apply
Initial crew that did the work did a VERY sloppy job. Painters tape clearly not used to create straight edges, coating was spread out unevenly leaving areas that sloped up and down (whereas the concrete floor was relatively flat before). I must commend Scott who sent a second crew than came out twice himself to try and make it right, however very frustrating having to point out the deficiencies of the work myself rather than them realizing it and fixing it themselves.

"Thank you for your review. But I do want to make sure you are reviewing the right company. We heard nothing of the issues you now publicly post. Specifically, no mention of not taping off (which we do). Nor any mention to us of allegedly making your garage unlevel? This is impossible by the way, as the coating is applied at 10mil thickness. If it were thicker, the product would milk over. In other words, there is no way enough liquid could be applied to make your floor unlevel without that floor looking horrible. And since you remarked to Scott that it looks great in your conversation last night, we know that is not the case. We do apologize"

Fabulous job on an add-on screened-in porch extension of concrete patio from small slab, shingled, added beautifully to the back of the house as if it were part of the original build. Extended patio also has a beautiful built-in firepit. The crews were great to work with. would hire again.

The workmanship was great! The only problem was getting them to come back & clean up. Next time I will hold out some money & not pay the the whole balance until cleanup is complete.
