Easy to work with

We hired this company to do a complete remodel of our house. The quality of products they used was far superior for the prices than what we could get at lowes or Home Depot. The craftsmanship was superb with attention to fine details. I would definitely recommend using Surplus floors USA

On time and worked very very hard to complete the job. Good price.

Great job, on-time, great clean up. Couple of small problems left behind such as some glue spots that we did not see on final inspection. Nevertheless, overall satisfied with price and performance of Surplus.

It could be my bad experience has to do ONLY with the lousy salesman I had (Steve Horn). This man can't seem to remember things from one day to the next. He promised me things that didn't materialize. Promised deadlines were meaningless to him and you could forget about a returned phone call. I honestly don't see how he keeps a job. The bright side of this transaction was the installers. Though it was obvious the tile installers weren't "licensed & bonded" as advertised by SF&C, they did an outstanding job and I would definitely recommend them to any friend. The granite company outsourced to did an excellent job as well.

They left the job with a cracked transition board, which they promised to fix but never did.

We contracted with Surplus Floor & Carpet in April and had new carpeting and tile installed throughout the house. However, the owner (I believe),Mohamed, was completely unresponsive to any issue that ever arose throughout the project. Issues were crews not showing up, damaging parts of the house that were not being worked on, and not following through with commitments. The worst part was when the carpet installers moved a piano and ruined the terrazo tile entry hall. The replacement tile work was done improperly so that it cracked and we are now having a horrible time getting them back out here to correct the bad work. Horrible!!!!

Steve was a great salesman, the price seemed right. Getting the flooring put in was another story. On the first install date the flooring was on a dock across the country and so we scheduled for a week later. At that point I was asked to pay one half of the fee. No further communication until I called again. The second installation date no one showed up. By the third attempt I was really to abandon the idea and insist on my money back. Fortunately they showed up a day earlier than scheduled and the gents were very nice and thorough. The experience was not for the impatient or slight of heart but the outcome is rather nice looking.

The reason I would rate so low has to do with the incident, or maybe I should not call it an incident. However, after the install, I called my salesperson, Jacob, to let him know that only one vinyl was there to be removed instead of two. Also, I did not get the $90.00 feature that surrounds the fireplace. The first thing he told me after verying whatt I said with the installers, was that he did not charge taxes, and it was his fault as he would have to "eat" the mix up. His boss would take it out of his check. I was due a refund of approximately $130.00. After he took away to tax cost that left me with may a refund of $30.00 or so. More.

The floors look great. Timeliness was an issue and I did have to have the guys come back out to fix the grout, but overall, I feel I received a good product for my money.

Very happy with porcelain tile and quality of installation.

My floor looks great. However, my wet bar cabinet is ruined, the wrong tile was used for my fire place, and I'm still cleaning up! I think the customer service was the part the upset me the most. When I pointed out that they used the left-over floor tile for the fireplace instead of the specified tile, they acted as though they had done me a favor and that I should be thanking them. I paid for tile that was never used and they thought I should be grateful! Not only was the tile not used, but I have never seen it. I was also told that new fire-board would need to be put in -- it was never done.

At times there were five individuals at the job, it wasn't apparent all were busy or needed. They were very good at laying and cutting the tile, but were not much help in design or pattern layout. With only one of the tile guys able to speak fair english, communication and discussion of ideas was difficult at times. In the end I designed a pattern and they implemented well. People who have visited the house said it was a very nicely done job. The company has 2 other crews so I can not speak of their quality. They did miss the first scheduled appointment. Not sure what that was about.

Haven't started the project, but Steve was a delight to meet and has followed up several times.

Excellent job! I would recommend them to anyone and have. They had a great work ethic and did a wonderful job for us. I will be using them again in the near future.

Excellent and professional. Mr. Steve Horn understood our needs and offered us smart choices and value. Much better than big stores. They have their own team/people do the installation, not sub-contractors. We still needs to finalize the details and selection, but we recommend them, they will work with you to get you the best for your budget.

They were very professional. I had my carpet installed within days of my request. The installers were knowledgeable and fast. I will hire them again.
