Austen is a bright young man and really cares about each & every detail of the project. He installed 2 basement egress windows for us and now we have brighter & safer spaces. We could not be happier with the final product. I highly recommend anyone looking for an egress window in the tri-state area to look no further than Swain Contracting! Small family business that really values their customers & work.

I wouldnâ t recommend Swain LLC based entirely on my experience. I reached out to this company with pictures of my previous Steelway basement door on May 8,2024. He then quoted the job for 6500. He said that he could do the job in mid-June in 1â 2-day period of time. I didnâ t have a problem waiting because my previous door didnâ t leak. He came out May 15,2024 and I signed the contract day and paid half for the job as required. Later, I called and texted no response until I sent a message through Jobber June 6,2024. He responded June 13,2024 to let me know that the door was being picked up and transferred to the painter. On July 19th installation day, the problem begins: They didnâ t square the opening or level it before attaching the stairs to the building. After installing the top there was a ½ in to 1 1/2-inch gap from the wall that was filled with dripping, clumping silicon. It rained that evening, and a lot of water came in. I stopped payment until the issue is resolved. They attempted to rework the installation and failed. The problem was not corrected, the gap is still there but covered with beige caulk. After they left, it rained again, and water came in from the four corners of the doors and under the door. In the end I am left with damage from the initial install, A door that was coated with a color that I didnâ t choose but accepted. A crocked unit that still leaks and wont lock. I have been back and forth with this company since May and itâ s August now. I will pay the balance to be done with this awful company. Still no resolution to a botched installation.

Swain LLCâ s work was very detail orientated and precise from start to finish. Great communication and quality of work! I would use them again and again.

Swain was there when I needed them. I had a leaking window one night and they showed up the very next morning. He was able to fix the issue and do it for a fair and reasonable price. Super professional and does great work. Thanks for your help!

This is a family-run business which specializes in egress doors and windows. We had a RockWell egress window installed. The window was installed in a day, and Austen came back a few times afterwards to complete the trim. The whole experience was amazing, and the craftsmanship is excellent. Communication was also top notch. If you need an egress solution, THIS is the company to call.
