We took on the service of Swift N Easy through Home Advisor if I am not mistaken October/November. In todays competitive lawn care and maintenance, companies need to keep their promises to ensure they retain the trust of their customers. Which Swift had an outstanding pitch of how they were different and above all others. It would be safe to say that keeping promises to customers should underlie everything that a company does, and is at the core of customer service excellence. Customers understand that there would be service lapses and problems. Customers are ready to forgive if they know that the company tried its best, and that it would do anything to make amends. Customers must perceive effort and commitment from the company in keeping its promises to them. Breaking promises to customers is a sure shot way of driving them away, and ensuring that they never come back. We know that customers become profitable and loyal for companies that they like and trust and these feelings come about only when a company is able to do everything it said it would do at the start of the association. From day one Swift appears to find basic everyday push mower workers and bring them on with the sales pitch of obtaining clients. In a short period we experience service which appeared to have been conducted by the neighborhood kid working for $20. We experience their employee trying to obtain side work in the name of the Lord, from a worker leaving his riding lawn mow in my yard broke down for over a week. Eventually we got to a point of no return and had come to the conclusion that it was time to move on. Follow is my complaint of many to follow. Complaint A (Dorethea, I sent you pictures of our concern the last cut, hedges again untrimmed. The cut have the appearance of a kid trying to make extra change. Take this email as notice, if the next cut do not improve, its best we part ways. We having had a good cut since your son did the service. Not to mention, your guy broke a flower pot in the yard. So far we are not happy with the service) Nothing did to correct the problem Rental Propety below Complaint B - (Hi Dorethea, Okay, I just spoke with my mother in law, she stated that he trimmed the hedges in the back and left the branches on the ground, there is grass clippings and leaves in the drive and under the carport where he did not blow clear. and here is a picture of the tree that a failed to even attempt and trim.) Complaint C - Yes, that is us. We do not think things are going to workout for us. We have come to the conclusion that you mean well and have great intentions. But, its obvious that you own and run the company with a bunch of more or less temporary or temp employees who are not vested, they are contractors, so their work or performance does not rest on their shoulders or the representation of their work. Just as I informed you that I had a guy doing our rental property who could just cut, and was not good at that. You were anxious to use his services to have someone to service your obtained customers. The reality is we have received much better and at a higher level of service for less money. So, just as you thought it was necessary to charge $70 for a bush trim, we feel the service that we receive currenty is worth about $45 therefore your prices are too high for what's offered. So the next cut maybe the last. ***Also note that we have an unsettled flower pot bill that we will deduct from our next invoice. Last Call - Complaint D- Good evening Dorethea, again your guy was a no show, no call. At this point instead of continuing to waste one anothers time. I suggest we just ended it now. I made it very clear from the beginning of what my expectations were. And you agreed that you fully understood and would do exactly what you proclaimed that you would do. Well again my disappointment is beyond measure. NOW TRYING TO OVERCHARGE...

If you don t mind having your yard treated like a dirt race track and left full of divots from mower wheels, and having your intelligence insulted when you bring video and photographic proof of poor work quality to the service provider s attention, and being threatened to have your account sent to collections after you disagree with the charges your service provider wants to collect in spite of damaging and poorly cutting your lawn... this is your lawn crew. But if you believe that your lawn care provider should treat your lawn better than their own, and is obligated to correct mistakes made while performing a service that you are paying them a premium price for, or not accept payment at all, then please read on because I think Swift N Easy is a lawn care provider that you should avoid. I hired this company to cut my lawn twice a Month and address the weeds that had taken root as a result of the home sitting vacant for an extended period. They came by twice a month, but outside of the day they showed up, the grass always looked like it was overdue for another cutting. I paid them $70 for spot treatments that were appearing to make the weeds grow more quickly than killing them. Faced with having to do weekly cuttings of an average sized yard at the tune of $240 a month, it became more economically feasible to buy my own lawn equipment and handle it on my own. So, I cancelled my service. Swift N Easy came by once during the 30-day cancellation period. In fairness, I cut it once during the period out of necessity, as they were unavailable due to weather. Ironically, they say they do this to avoid damaging your lawn. But when they came... It was clear to me that they were in the this guy is not paying us anymore so we are going to spend as little time as possible mindset. I had recently installed exterior surveillance cameras and happened to come across footage of this mindset in action. The guy operating the mower was literally racing across the lawn like a stunt driver, coming to abrupt stops, performing abrupt changes of directions, and in one instance it looked like he ran into the house. The weed cutter was moving just as fast. When I got home the next day to actually see the results... Divots all over the place, uneven edging along the sidewalks, weeds/ tall grass remaining directly in front of the house, and the grass under the tree in my front yard left untouched. I forwarded the video and some pictures of my concerns for their review, specifically saying that I did not think that they earned their full service price. In response, they sent me a bill for the full service price, telling me that the damage was due to the ground being wet and the damage happened in areas that were experiencing drainage issues. How insulting is that, considering it had not rained in 3 days and lightly when it did? So they offered to take $15 off the bill. I countered with $35 off, because I had to take time out of my busy schedule to go behind them to finish their work and repair the damage that they made. Here is where good businesses do right by their customer, and this is where Swift N Easy failed to do the right thing. Instead of saying, hey, we are really sorry about the experience, please pay the $25 and lets part ways amicably, They chose the รข profits over people route and threatened to send me to collections if I did not pay the $45 in 14 days. So under threat of collections I paid the $45. Are these the kind of people you want to do business with? I sure hope not. They will probably say that they did their job, but that is not true. I have proof. And in case they try to say that I am a bogus customer writing a bogus review, I again have the proverbial receipts.
Response by Swift N Easy: It is unfortunate when a one-sided version of events occurs We have many customers that provide legitimate feedback when and if they have legitimate concerns about the quality of the work and work hard to address them as was the case in this matter. The clients requested 2 times a month service starting in March 2019 The grass was full of weeds when the service started. The customer agreed to have weed & feed treatments during each lawn service staring in April which was completed and verification of each service was sent by email with pictures of the finished product. However, in the middle of April the customer complained the grass was growing too fast & he had to cut it himself in between the 2 services of which he signed up for. A recommendation for weekly service was sent as a way to address the customers needs & interests. However, service was cancelled on or about April 27, 2019. In accordance with the signed SOW the 30-day cancellation allowed the customer to receive 2 more services in May. However, due to inclement weather (which all customers are notified of any delay in service when this occurs) the first service was scheduled the week of May 2 however, client opted to cut the grass himself which he did. Thereby the first service was scheduled the week of May 13. During the commission of service, the client "video taped" our service providers claiming they were cutting the lawn too fast- also claiming "damage to the lawn" which included sending photos of spots in the lawn. As a way to amicably resolve the concerns we offered to discount the service, from 65to 45.00] and waive the 30-day cancellation requirement. Thereby ending the service. The customer wanted to pay $25.00. As professional lawn care company we work hard to address and resolve any reasonable concerns a customer may proffer, however now, and then we do get our fair share of disgruntled people, and people who receive service and fail to pay their bill for no reason even when they give you a glowing rating on home advisor] it is any company's right to collect payment for services rendered. When customer don't pay we refer the account to collections as with any business. It is unfortunate we were unable to meet the customer's interests but were more than willing to work to do so. We wish this customer the best in any future engagement with a contractor. Dorethea Taylor K.

Great work! Delivered everything that was promised.
Response by Swift N Easy: While we appreciate the glowing review, this customer has not paid the bill- efforts to collect the payment have been unsuccessful. We respectfully hope any future contractor does not agree to provide service without obtaining a deposit. We of course will continue efforts to secure payment. We finally received payment for services provided in April. We wish to thank the customer for honoring the commitment to pay Dorethea Kennedy
