You get what you pay for. Work uneven deck wobbles rail not safe to lean against support post not in 3 feet had to concrete them myself. He tells me it wood not steel go to your nieghbor see if their wobble. Still waiting for guy to come to put some kind of support. 2 yr warranty on labor will see. He doesn't over see he sub contracts out and the first group I got had no clue what so ever.

"As I sat on the beautifully finished deck and received our final payment from the owner and his wife, the only item he proposed was needing additional support for a small narrow area about 3' long that extends around this above ground pool. I haven't taken care of it yet as I lost my carpenter following completion of this deck and only got him back recently.(also above ground pool decks are not as stable as one that is next to and attached to one's home)"

Paul Swigart is a very nice man. It was great dealing with him. I was allowed to buy a few windows at a time. I put down money when I ordered the windows, less than 1/4th of total bill. Half of the remainder, when everything was measured and Paul ordered them, and the remainder after the windows were installed. The installation crew was efficient and knew what they were doing. They covered everything with drop cloths, I didn't have to move any furniture, etc. I had a GREAT experience working with Paul and his installation crew, Kurt and the guys.

The workers came when the weather was permitting. They worked in the rain. They explained what they were doing and were willing to make changes. Mr. Swigart explained completely how the project would be built and was always available to answer questions. He asked for about a third of the money upfront which was helpful. The cost was about $3700. I am very satisfied with his work.

DON?T DO IT!!!! We hired Paul because the price was right and the promises of quality were high. After re-arranging my work schedule, the contractor never showed the 1st day and hardly showed as planned throughout the project. One the last scheduled day, he rushed to get done because his wife was cold and said he would finish the flashing later. We then noticed that the wood was ?USED?. It had previous nail/staple holes in it and the boards had several splits in them. Then, the LEAKING started! It leaked into our basement for almost 2 weeks he came back to do the ?flashing?. There was damage to the joists of house from the water. I

"I agree we were not as quick in our service call as we should have been. Sorry about that. This nice lady works at home and we told her that no one has to be there as long as we have electrical power available. The deck was made entirely of new material. If boards had split after we were gone they never told us. This can happen with the best of lumber products and my supplier would have replaced them at no charge.Also one can not damage joists with an intermittant water leak in two weeks. Other than that the deck is beautiful and structually sound and hopefully they'll have years and years of pleasure from it. Sincerely, Paul"
