I HOPE THIS REVIEW DO NOT GO UNREAD!!! I'm gonna get straight to the point with this. July 25, 2019 Terry came to my rental property and diagnosed that the system was leaking and needed to be replaced. By it being a R22 refrigerant system...he said those will be expensive to work on after the new year. So he suggested a new full system of 410A refrigerant. After agreeing on a price I paid the down payment for an inside unit(upstairs) and 2 outside units since he said my other unit sounds pretty rough. The day of the install came and my tenant let his crew in. They did the install outside and inside(so I thought) and I paid Lanie thru zelle since Terry had promised me he did everything right and he's backing it with 5 yr labor and 10 parts warranty. Now the good part. After 2 weeks go by...the upstairs new unit started blowing warm and the drain plug was stopping up. I called TLC to come check on the problem since everything was new and it was warrantied. After no replies and not answering my call for a few days. I decided to call another contractor since water was leaking thru the ceiling. The new contractor fixed the drain plug leak and said the unit probably has a bad TXV. So I called TLC again with the problem and they swore they would come by and fix the problem since it's under warranty. Call after call they never show up..no replies thru text or no phone call. I decided to get the new contractor back out to replace the TXV valve and I told him I had just replaced those units less than a month ago. The contractor told me the upstairs unit was not changed and it's an old used system. How can TLC write up a contract saying they would change inside and outside units and charge me for new equipment. But never change the upstairs unit? They have yet to reply to my calls or text and today is Sept 17, 2019. I would caution anyone from using this company.

The owner came to my house on Saturday, June 22 to inspect my AC unit. I was told that I needed a new AC unit, but I did not need a new furnace. The owner inspected the inside and outside unit but did not inspect any other parts of the unit including insulation and ductwork. He was very nice, trustworthy and very professional and seem to know what he was talking about. Thatâ s why I agreed to hire him. The owner, Terry, arrived at my home on Wednesday, June 26 around 9 am. He came to pick up a deposit that he said was needed to buy the new air conditioning unit. He came back with 2 helpers about 2 hours later with the equipment needed to change the unit. They started working immediately and the job was done in about 4 hours. The final was given to Terry upon completion of the job. A few minutes after Terry and the team left, I noticed some water leaking from a pipe in the unit. We did not have this problem before the AC was installed. I called Terry back and he came right back to look at it. He did something to the AC, and I was told that it would not leak anymore. On July 2, I noticed that there was water leaking from the AC vents. This is a problem that we never had before. I called Terry up again to check this issue and I was told it was condensation from aged ductwork and insulation. As I mentioned above, Terry never checked the ductwork and insulation during his initial inspection of the AC unit. I also told him that water was leaking from the pipe again. He did something to it again, but it continues to leak to this day. Terry offered to fix the ductwork for $600. I mentioned to him if an inspection was made earlier on, he would have known that the ductwork needed to be replaced. It appears that he tries to get a contract at a lower price and then discover other issues after the job has been started or completed. On August 6, I notified TLC AC and Heating about a black substance, which looked like oil leaking onto my AC unit. Terry and I set up an appointment for him to come out at 3:00 pm to check the unit. Terry did not call or show up for the appointment. On August 7, Terry and his helper Jason came out to inspect the AC unit. He said the â black stuffâ on the AC unit was water mixed with insulation. He put something called hard seal on it. He fixed the water leak from the pipe again and my husband and I were told that we would not have any more issues with the unit. A few days later while replacing the AC filter in the unit, I notice a lot of hard white stuff all over the AC. The cement like stuff would not come off the unit. There is also foil insulation paper all over the unit. The work is very sloppy. Again, we noticed that the water was leaking from the pipe. The AC unit now looks like it is several years old and no longer looks like the new unit that I paid for. I contacted TLC AC and Heating about this, and I was told that the AC should have been left off for two hours to let the hard seal dry. Terry never mentioned this to my husband or me when he was there, and he left the air on when he was there. I was told that Terry would come back again to check the unit on Monday, August 26 at 5 pm. On August 26, Terry never showed up. I called his number and his wife number several times. Terry finally responded to a text message at 8:07 pm. I asked him if he was still coming out to check unit, but he never answered the question. In the text messages, he responded that the hard stuff is only outside of the unit and it is not ruined. He also wrote back that the unit is not in danger but still never said he was coming. I called Terry but he did not answer the phone. I was not able to leave a message. It has been almost 9 weeks of going back and forth with TLC AC and Heating. I trusted he would do the work correctly and stand behind the work. He also promised 5 year labor which is in writing.

"sir, we went to you on a Saturday afternoon at your request and it took my tech all of 10 minutes to complete your diagnosis. We sent you an invoice for diagnosis and an estimate. You didn't respond to either one. In other words YOU DIDN'T PAY YOUR BILL and you are giving us a bad review. With all due respect you should really correct that. there was a problem that popped up in the installation of a new system being put on to an old (existing) system that at least a 24 hour additional labor of two men. was necessary to correct. The owner , 26 years of experience in air/con. ,install., did not try to make excuses and told me that this was the first problem like this he has been confronted with he was going fix it , and he did. there was no extra charge. a working air cond. made my day, but this mans honesty of the problem and his dedication to the correct method of installation, made it a much better day to me .

In the face of a storm and strained services city-wide, TLC showed up within 45 minutes of calling. He was professional, let me know the steps he was taking to investigate my AC outage and determined the problem. I was grateful to have someone come out so quickly. The problem was actually with the power coming to the house and he explained what was probably wrong and advised me to call Entergy for service. Had he not come out and deduced the problem, I would have waited 4 days with no A/C and slowly failing electricity through a storm. I appreciate the quick service and accurate diagnosis!

I hired them to clean three window units. I feel like the did a real good job cleaning the units and I would use them again. Although I did have to have them come back to tighten up a small problem, they did not hesitate to come back and fix it. I needed annual maintenance on my ptac heating and cooling unit. After being rejected by an advertised local company since it would take two technicians to complete the job, I was relieved that Terry at TLC A/C & Heat happily agreed to assist me right away and my appointment was scheduled the next day. Terry's wife, Lainie, was very nice and kept me updated on his arrival. Terry was very friendly and professional and completed my annual maintenance quickly. I will definitely be using Terry every year for maintenance and any AC emergencies that come up. I am very pleased with the service that I received and the $100 fee was more than reasonable.
