After doing the lawn mowing, we inquired about replacing the mulch in our gardens. Subsequent mowings came with issues of not remembering what to do, not cleaning up after themselves so the yard looked good. They blew all the clippings back on the clean lawn and it looked like crap. We had to have mowing crew return on 2 occasions because they did a crappy job on the yard. The mowing crew was different each time. We had a mixed crew to redo the mulch in the front and side gardens. The mulch and compost looked good. But all the sprinkler heads were not set properly, thereby creating a messy fiasco with watering our yards. We have to hire a sprinkler guy to come and fix all the sprinkler heads so our plants can get watered and not our house or brick walkway. What a mess that it. The last time they mowed, they trashed our brick with non caring pushing and shoving of mower thru our leveled sidewalk, knocking chips of our side brick off. They completely messed up the back of the house lawn and when they were forced to come back to fix their errors, one of the guys deliberately smashed the mower down on our front lawn creating large brown patches where the blades ripped out the grass at dirt level on our front lawn, our grass in front of our flower bed in front of the house. How asinine that was! That was the last straw. After spending $900 on a few mow jobs and $600 of it on the compost and mulch replacement, I was done with that. Will never get service from a crew that just flies in and does a quick job and flies out. Not our style. We are glad to have our regular guy back from an injury and have our lawn looking great. I am so sorry I picked home advisor for assistance. Not sure but think our sprinkler head fixup is going to tear up the whole yard and cost a bundle to fix.. Wasn't what we were expecting.. Brian was easy to talk to and to arrange things, his crew leaves a lot to be desired, because they did not like coming back to fix their errors, and then they made sure they never came back by purposely destroying the front yard in places.. Very child like. I like Brian, easy going guy, but the help left a lot to be desired in my eyes..

I have used Tops for painting, lawn maintenance, spring cleanup and sprinkler repair. I really like their prices, very hard to beat. I had a small fire in my garage and all the walls and ceiling had smoke damage. They need to be cleaned, primed and two coats of paint. All quotes i received were $2,700 and up. Tops did it for $850. I bought the paint which was only $250, so I got a really good deal. I highly recommend these guys. I have dealt with Preston and he is really good at listening, making suggestions and ensuring all work is completed as quoted.

"This rating is confusing to us as we did not do any work as of this date. We have spoken with HomeAdvisor about this on 4 occasions but this rating remains up? Our overview: We received a call for this requested work on a Sunday. We were asked to provide a quote and to actually do the painting the same day. And the quote needs to be a max of $200. I stated I am not sure that the work can be done the same day as it is already lunch time (approx.) on Sunday. We would have to meet to see the project, provide a bid, and then if it was accepted we would need to call our crew to come over, and then we would need to buy the paint before the stores close on Sunday afternoon/evening. On the initial phone call I said I would need to call my crews and see if I could get someone to work and help get this completed. Once I do this (30 minutes) I will need to call the client back to and confirm if we can do this (if the price is a win/win for all stakeholders of course). I made some calls and then called the client back and left a voice mail. I never heard back from the client. So I am unsure what the rating reflects. The client seemed very nice on the phone but was in an urgent situation and we just never connected after I called back and left a VM - post our initial phone conversation."

Preston was friendly and personable, He was an honest guy and kept to his word. He also completed the job in one day. I would love to use him again for another home project. He was wonderful.
