This is a well managed company, but the real heroes are the installers. 5 stars go out to Pablo on the outside work/downspout piping crew. Also 5 stars to Jorge on the under-house crew who installed the perimeter drain and sump pump. Also, one production supervisor, Ryan, was very good at making decisions on-the-fly, working with the homeowner, and supervising the install crews. One hiccup on customer service was with Lisa in the office because she failed to schedule an electrician to wire the sump pump. We had to insist that she look for one and schedule him for the next day. Other than that, the rest was good.

Hired to check integrity of concrete block crawl space. Referred to a structural engineer. Great news is they don't charge you unnecessarily for work you don't need. Would definitely recommend this business!

They came out and did an inspection and provided a secondary quote after the inspection was completed. The inspection was extensive. The service was quick and responsive. The pricing options appeared a bit inflated.

Steve Durock from Va. Beach came and looked at our Crawl Space and showed us pictures of problems with our Crawl Space. Sill plate needed to be replaced and 2 different locations needed sister boards. Trevor and his crew was schedule for the 23rd August. Trevor, Moe, and Drew were under house all day. dark, wet, and 3 foot high crawl space. Lots of noise, lots of crawling in and out from under house, dragging big boards. They were professional, and nice to my husband and I. The conditions were tough. They seemed to enjoy their day, which is hard to believe. Trevor came in and spoke with us at the end of the day. He showed us pictures of all the repairs. The price was very fair for the work these guys did. Each member of crew spoke to Jerry and I before leaving. They were very tired at end of day, but still made sure they cleaned everything in work area. Thank you so much. Betty Johnson

They did very good work and cleaned out all the debris under the house the first day. They then brought in the floor jacks and went to work. They got the job done in three days with two crews. It was not a cheap job but they were very professional to work with.

I called Tar Heel Basement System about 2 months ago to make an estimate/repairs on my property in Greensboro NC I received a call from a very nice and friendly customer service representative who made an appointment with Ryan Arnett. On May 2nd the inspector Mr. Arnett came to my home a also very friendly inspector who came out looked at my home and had seen that my home was in need of repairs. I already knew this coming in to this whole situation this is why I called them to begin with since another company I had called for repairs had recommended them. Looking through their reviews I thought to myself this would be a decent honest hard working company to call and get repairs done. Unfortunately this has not been the case I had to call several times to my inspector/ and or rep to get up to date on whats is happening, I received a few calls from my representative to have an engineer come out on may 22nd . Tar Heel had advised they would have to have one of their contracting engineers come out and they would charge me $500 for him to come out in a few weeks. Come may 22nd I received a phone call from the engineer who came into the home and literally looked around for about 10 minutes and was very rude and just in a rush to get in and out of my home. I contacted Tar heel about his unprofessional attitude in which they listen but that is about it. I also was explain that I would receive an engineer report that I had to beg to get to get which took 2 weeks and looks like a 10 yr old had written it with obvious fact in which a 10 year old could see or any one with common sense and/eyes . I brought this up to bothor la my rep and inspector I am extremely dissatisfied with their service and feel like a waste of $500 of hard earned money. Nothing has been done to date it is June 15th 2018 and I yet to receive an estimate/quote on repairs or any thing about labor needed to be done. I am not making this review out of vice for the company but I am upset about their service or lack thereof. If your looking for a company for any type of foundation repair or work I ask you to take a close look at my review and see if it was necessary for my wait. Everything after the first inspection has been lacking and just frustrated at just sitting here waiting as I have someone going to rent my home in a few weeks and still in need of repairs. While the folks are very friendly the work ethic is abysmal I probably wont be getting my $500 refunded to me. I came in with good intentions of getting the work done since I read good reviews but I guess I was one of the unlucky ones

Rick Brown was fantastic in his approach to quote the project on my home giving me several options. I hired Tarheel to complete the project. Bobby, Mike and crew arrived and completed the project ahead of schedule. They did a great job and left the area clean and orderly. I would certainly recommend Tarheel to those who need foundation repair.

I spoke with many professionals about this job and selected Tar Heel Basement Systems after a long process. They did not disappoint. The crew came a day early, showed up promptly at 8:30 am and finished 2 hours before their estimated time. The whole crew was courteous and professional and worked hard all day. I saw them running back and forth between the truck while unloading and I don't think they even took a lunch break. Highly recommended.

"We are very sorry that we were unable to complete the concrete project at your home and hope that the recent call from our Production Manager helped to clarify everything for you. Unfortunately once we made the initial cut into the concrete we immediately realized the slab was too thin to lift- something that is hard to diagnose on the front end until you actually drill into the slab. Our installation crew notified you all immediately to see how best to proceed. It was agreed that the best plan of action was to stop the installation and refund the deposit for the project. Again, we are very sorry that the installation did not go as expected, but we sincerely hope that you felt we handled the matter in an ethical and professional matter. Adam and his crew were very efficient and timely. I knew that they would be there everyday and the place cleaned up at night. They were helpful and attentive to my concerns. Actually my problem has more to do with the project management than with the actual work that was done. To make the point, I will never let someone tear up my house without a plan in place to put everything back like it was before the destruction. That's where THBS falls down. Their work was fine and well done. But, I was left to myself to find someone to fix it all back. The two names I was given as possible candidates to do the repairs were either not taking jobs or didn't actually provide an estimate for the job. I feel I paid a pretty fair premium to have this work done by THBS, only to have to bang around for months after the fact trying to get someone to give estimates and commence the required repairs. I feel that a premium provider such as THBS, should have all of that in place or assured prior to commencing their work.
