I originally hired them to do a slab in the back yard, but since Ross told me he was a general contractor, I had them install fencing, sod, landscaping, and sprinklers. The fencing and slab are fine. Hairline cracks started showing up in the slab a month or so after installation, but that was to be expected. They installed tall fescue, which is a cool weather grass, but most of it survived, so, again, no problem. I think he just took the advice of the sod salesman. The problem started with the sprinklers installation. Ross sent one or two guys out to install the sprinkler system and left them there. For the most part it was just one guy, who didn't have any tools or parts, so I had to loan him my tools and run to the store to get him parts and supplies. I think the other guy was somehow related to the main sprinkler guy. I asked him how long he had been working for Ross, and he said, "Well, actually, this is my first job." I told Ross that I had concerns about this guy (the other one didn't speak English) and his professionalism, but Ross didn't seem concerned. Anyhow, I've had a lot of problems with the above-ground drip system his--uh--subcontractor?--put in over the past couple of years, and after having enough sprinkler/landscaping contractors tell me it was improperly installed and would cost upwards of $1500 to have it done properly, I called Ross to ask if there was any warranty on the sprinkler work. His response: :"Uh, no." I asked him if he remembered sending out someone with no tools or supplies to install my sprinklers, and said, "So, that's just what I get, huh?" Ross: "Yeah. Thanks." For most of the job, Ross showed up once or twice a day, and wasn't always easy to get in touch with when I needed to contact him. This was mainly problematic when I felt he should be providing supplies to his crew, rather than me running to the store to keep them working. In all fairness, he did the work a couple of summers ago, and I've just had my gardener patching the sprinkler system as it breaks. The fence and slab are OK. The lesson learned is that I should have only hired him for those two items. I'm finding that what passes for professionalism in the Antelope Valley probably wouldn't fly in more upscale areas. Fortunately, I had a pick, shovel, and PVC cutters to loan the sprinkler installer or he wouldn't have been able to do the work.

It took a lot of call backs to get the job done right and it's still not 100%. They installed concrete, sprinklers and grass. The sprinklers were not dug deep enough or placed close enough to the edge of our yard. Their solution was removing the grass when the sprinklers really should be moved

Discrepancy in billing! Employees are great but management has issues! Management has no communication skills. No punctuality for appointment.

Stamped wall looks great, DG landscape also looks very niece. The concrete entryway looks very good. My family realy noticed the improvements to our home.

I enjoyed my interaction with all the employees. We replaced and expanded our driveway and also replaced and expanded our walkway adding columns with poured concrete tops and fascia stone around the columns. Ross and everyone were just GREAT. I'd highly recommend them to anyone looking for concrete work. EXCELLENT

Poor Communication with this Contractor. We had more work for them, but they wouldn't call back to arrange a bid or set up the work.

Taylor construction was right on time they were very professional and completed the job on time

Walked away without finishing the job. Broke sprinkler pipe. I had to hire another contractor to repair it. Said they would be back, but never returned. Will not answer or return my calls. I get threatening letters from the material supplier that they are going to place an lien on my property because of an unpaid balance due them from Taylor construction services.

Ross cam out to give an estimate to expand our driveway and pour a patio at the side of the house. He was very professional and his crew did an EXCELLENT job. He also bid a job to convert our front yard from grass to xeriscape. We hired him for this as well and couldn't be more pleased with the result. I highly recommend Ross Taylor Construction!

Ross and his crew work with you to help make your vision of your backyard come true. Being a designer, my project was very detailed. This company worked with me until the finished design was to my liking. Would recommend Taylor Construction for any type of hardscape project.

Reliable and easy to work with

We had a great experience from start to finish with Ross and his team. Ross promptly and concisely communicated with us throughout the process and we were able to be very active in the design and planning of our hardscape. We purchased a brand new house that needed some flair and our new stamped concrete steps, walkways and large patio did the trick - adding beauty and value to our home. Had a 65 ft long brick retaining wall collapse.After 4 different contractors i decided to go with Ross since he gave the best estimate on all the work(he offered to put in new brick and hauled away all the existing brick. one of the other contractors who came bid 500 over what i paid to just clean up the existing brick and to haul away for even more $$$) After hiring Ross his crew was over the very next day to start on the wall. The whole job took 2 days to do and wall came out looking beautiful. I was pleased with the quality of bricks that he chose and with the quality and speed of their work. Outsanding is all aspects of our stamped and colored concrete patio. Ross and his team did a super job while we were out of town on a camping trip. What a beautiful sight when we arrived home. Highly recommend!!!
