I hired Terrence mostly for flooring which was a decent job. He insisted on doing everything else. I gave him a list of things to do. Unfortunately, he convinced me that he did those things by doing just certain jobs and taking some pictures. He would tell me he did the things that he actually did not do. Not sure why he did not just doing right the first time to complete the project and get a good review. My guess is that he did not show on a lot of those days or only had a one-person show. He knew it was going to be a rental so I think that is why he just picked the cheapest paint he could find. I would not have a problem with the paint except that the splatter got all over the place to include his new flooring and the windows. I knew that he was chasing other more lucrative jobs during this project and just abandoned it altogether because my calls were not going through. I was able to call and get to voicemail with other phones. I asked him to return the stuff I sent to his home that he was supposed to install. Surprisingly, he sent his guy to the house with the stuff and played it off like he was continuing the job like nothing had happened (he had ghosted me for quite a few days already and he had previously said these items were already installed). He said he was at the hospital again (he used this story before) and that he would never block my call because there was so much money left for him to make. I had already hired a real professional to continue the job. I asked him to simply pick up his trash (he said he would do this many times before) and to give me a receipt for payment. He acted like he was disappointed that I would not let him complete the job and tried to emphasize that he had put so much into the project and given me free stuff. He promised getting me a cheap dishwasher to match the other stuff and doing a bunch of other stuff but it was all talk so I can not credit him for anything he did not actually do. Anyways, he hung up and when I tried to call back, my call did not go through as expected. He refused to do that and here I am. He spent a lot of time trying to emphasize that he is a hard worker and that he is honest and he has anxiety and cares about what others think but my experience shows otherwise. He also had some silly story about being a veteran that did not add up. Cleaning up the trash was expensive due to dump fees and all so if you hire him, just know that there is a chance you could be doing the clean up yourself. I was asked to support a black owned business and it is too bad that it turned out to be a disaster.

I hired Terrence for a bathroom remodel. Signed our contract around 11/9/2019 with an estimated completion date of 11/27/19. My bathroom was completely gutted 11/16/19 and remained that way until January 2020. Since January, he has shown up sporadically and has done some wiring, installed Sheetrock, painted installed bathtub, and has done floor and shower tiling. It has been since 2/17/20 that I have heard from Terrance despite multiple calls and text messages. I still have no toilet, no plumbing, no counters, no sinks, unfinished shower tiling, no tile sealant, and unfinished lighting, plus others I am sure I missed. Half of the estimate was paid upfront which was cashed way back in November. Along with very long spans of zero contact, we have also heard every excuse possible for why the job is not completed...health problems, family problems, JAIL TIME, and other jobs out of town. He was recommended to me by a home builder who also had to cut ties recently. I absolutely would not ever recommend Terrence to anyone.

Due to a house flood it wasn t a planned job and I had all our stuff everywhere. He was great in all the ways though, professional, great communication about the work to bed done, updates along the way, shared ideas and thoughts from his extensive experience and a man of his word. As things came up (always do in projects like these) they were discussed and handled great. I m happy with my final product and can truly tell that mattered to him throughout the project too. I would highly recommend him, am thankful it went well overall and happy to have my house back looking better than ever.

If I could give them 6 stars on everything, I would. Terrence is honest, helpful, truthful, reliable, trustworthy, and the quality of his work and materials is superior. His employee (especially Joel) have all the same attributes. I would recommend Terrence to anyone who wants a thorough job by a conscientious person.

Outstanding and very knowledgeable

Terrence was recommended to me by a friend and I'm glad they did! I had gone through so many meetings with contractors but none were as knowledgeable as Terrence. He gave insightful advice and did a great job of really listening to what we wanted. The best part is that he has flooring samples for you to choose from that will save you several trips to the store trying to find something you like and for a reasonable price.
