I hired Terry based upon prior positive customer reviews. He had a terrific work ethic did the basement drywall job completely by himself. However, early on I recognized that he was not inclined to clean up self-made construction messes. I cleaned up the worksite and the yard (where he cut his framing lumber) on a daily basis. When he finished the job, he did absolutely no clean-up of the basement or exterior work sites. Drywall debris and dust-coated two rooms. I spent the better part of two weeks on my hands and knees scraping the dropped drywall mud and primer paint splatters off the linoleum tile floors. His finished product was OK, but not stellar. It was necessary to re-do EVERY inside drywall corner (44 of them) and the 6 outside drywall corners as well. It was necessary for me to address numerous rough places (gouges, scrapes, drywall screw indentations, etc.) throughout the project which I refinished/repaired. His primer coat over the finished product was hit-and-miss, a sure sign of being in too much of a hurry to get done. It was necessary to re-prime all the walls due to the extensive imperfection repairs throughout. His technique of covering outlets with drywall board and then cutting out the opening afterward left much to be desired, as his opening cuts were often inaccurate and required fill-in so that the outlet cover or switch plate would completely cover the opening. Also, he failed to change his razor knife blades when they became dull, resulting in jagged and torn drywall edges. I fully realize that no drywall contractor is going to provide a perfect product as that process is too time-consuming and generally unrealistic. However, two months after the project was completed, I am still dealing with the after-effects of his lack of attention to detail and failure to clean up the worksite once he was done. Oh, did I also mention a large number of leftover drywall pieces and lumber which he left behind and which I had to clean up and put in the trash over several weeks of garbage collection? Unless a customer is willing and able to engage in considerable post-project site clean-up, I would advise against employing Mr. Walker for ANY interior drywall project. There are probably better contractor choices that avoid the pitfalls Terry brings to the table.

ADDED NEW DRYWALL CEILING BELOW EXISTING DAMAGED PLASTER IN BASEMENT. DID NOT PUT DOWN FLOOR PROTECTION OR SEALED OFF WORK AREA FROM THE OTHER ROOMS. ESTIMATED 5 WORK DAYS AND TOOK OVER 3 WEEKS TO GET IT DONE. IT WILL TAKE ME A COUPLE WEEKS TO REMOVE SPACKLE AND DRYWALL DUST OFF FURNITURE AND STORED ITEMS. NICE GUY BUT!

Terry just finished drywalling our entire basement as part of a remodel project. He did an absolute fantastic job and takes a lot of pride in doing the job right and ensuring we as the customer were absolutely happy with the work before charging us anything. He has great attention to detail as well, noting and correcting little imperfections that I probably wouldn t have even noticed. I d recommend him to anyone. If my budget allowed I would if hired him to do more, other than just drywall, as he has a ton of experience in other aspects of construction/remodeling. His pricing is fantastic too, especially given the high quality of his work. He s a one man machine that s pretty busy with jobs so he may be a little slow to respond and get a quote from but he s definitely worth the wait.

Our roof leaked in several rooms in our house. Terry did an excellent job repairing/replacing the drywall and painting the family room, bathroom and closet. He takes great pride in his work and the results are excellent. Terry is also very nice and courteous. His pricing is very fair.
