Hired him in 2016, had issue, called him back, he said will come, but he never did

Texas Master roofing is undoubtedly the worst contractor I have ever hired. He made promises he didn't keep, sent out low-quality materials with the exception of the actual metal roofing itself which came from Metal mart. The job was left woefully incomplete The workmanship of the Carpenter was shoddy at best I had to hire another contractor to finish the job and another contractor to re-hang the gutters properly.

I had wind damage to my roof and had an area in the living room where it was dripping through. I am covered by insurance, so I just had to pay a deductible. Texas Master Roofing did not waste time coming out to do the job. They were very professional and they worked until the whole roof was done in one day. This was done quit awhile ago, sorry for not writing a review at the time of the job. But I can say I think it has been almost a year and the roof is great

Not responsible a contractor, doesn't return calls

The owner assured us that he would personally be on the job site to monitor the quality of the work. After I signed the insurance check over to him, he never came back to monitor the work. Worse yet sent some unprofessional workers, who made a mess, to repair our windows. After repeated phone calls, most of which would go unanswered, he finally sent someone who repaired the damage. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Texas Master Roofing is only a name. The actual work is done by a sub-subcontractor. I see great reviews, but evidently things have changed since they were written. So many promises were broken and I can not trust or recommend this company. Sorry, but I'm being honest.

The cost of the work was reasonable. However, my leak has not been corrected and the company has failed to have a promised evaluation and repair addressed. At this time they are consistently failing to answer calls from me or USAA. It is my opinion that the company is not to be relied on.

Kress is honest and straight forward. Their quality of work is excellent. Have already referred him to others.

The crew was curtsies and efficient. After completing the payment, this company its impossible to get hold of.

We contracted Texas Master Roofing in June 2017 to put a new shingled and metal roof on a complete remodel we are doing. They did a roof across the street and they were in and out fast and recommend by the realtor that was selling the house. We are on a strict timeline with our loan and this company has been a nightmare!!! The first rain we had after the roof was done, we had buckets upon buckets of water running down the walls in two places! It took them weeks to come out to "fix" the issue. Next rain, buckets again. And we're talking about 5 gallon buckets! Weeks go by again waiting on Kress to give us an answer of when he'll get someone back out here. He finally said he was sending another company when hurricane Harvey was making its way here. Someone came by as the rains were starting, not aware of who or which company, and NAILED a tarp down on my roof. My roof was not leaking under the area of the tarp in the first place, but now I had a bunch of nails in my shingles where I didn't previously have an issue, thus creating a whole new leaking area. Again, buckets of water through the Harvey rains. I can't tell you the amount of times someone was sent out to my home to fix the issue, only to have it turn out worse than it was prior to the "fix". Three months almost to the day, I finally had a roof that appears to be fixed. Although, mid October, I'm still waiting on them to come out to install a boot on my metal roof. On September 20, 2017, the day after the roof was finally leak free (the original leak, the nailed into shingles had to be replaced again after this date), I received a certified letter saying that I was being threatened with a lien on my property by a subcontracted worker, if I didn't pay over $2500, because Kress didn't pay one of his subcontractors HE hired. I paid my bill in full at the original completion of my roof so I was in no way responsible for payment to anyone else. I've attempted to get in contact with Kress on the matter and have not received any confirmation of him taking action on this. The last thing I want to be dealing with, after all the delays this leaking roof has caused is taking actions agains them. Do not hire!

WARNING, do not use Texas Master Roofing. We hired them to replace our shingle roofing after hail damage and a leaking roof. After the first rain we noticed the roof was leaking and contacted Kress Childs the owner by phone, email and text message multiple times and to this date (months later) have not received a resolution or repair of our leaking roof. On top of this major issue, they were contracted to repair the carpet in our bedroom that was affected by the initial leak. We paid them a deposit and the work was never completed. We were told the carpet was ordered and we would be contacted with an install date but after 2 weeks we tried to contact Kress but again we have not received a call back. I am not sure what the issue is with this company but I feel they are crooks and cannot be trusted.

Was on time for appointment, reviews attic to review attic insulation and condition of roofing panels under old shingles. Professional installers.

Do not ever hire this company, do not go by home advisor reviews. Please read on google and other websites as well. They took 50% money, put roof and never glued it and never to return again for completion of it. They don't answer phones or text messages. We had a heavy rain in San Antonio and now we know they never glued down roof correctly and roof is leaking badly. Please beware, we are filing complain with state, homeadvisor, better business bureau, most likely to small claim court. Not finishing their job now costing us additional $1500. Please do not go by this website reviews only. I wished we had researched more about them.

The company is small and easy to work with. No hidden fees. I had a roof replaced on a rental property and it was affordable and fast.

The experience started out great; Kress personally inspected the roof and gave us an estimate the next day. The problems started as soon as he took my deposit. He stopped returning my repeated phone calls/emails and I am still waiting for job to start over a month later after he estimated two weeks. I am seriously concerned that I will be out my deposit.

Their pricing was very good but the service and quality was bad. I had hired them to replace the roof and siding of my shop building in late 2016. The work was to start on 1/3/2017 and the crew shows up along with Kress and James to find that there was no material delivered as plan. From that point, everything was a scramble and bad planning. They never use a string line or plumbed anything and most everything was done with the attitude just get it done. Most of the siding is skewed with a stair step effect along the top and the screws are over the place and not uniform. The roof was done in the same manor and the trim on the ends are crooked. They put in a new window in my office area and it leaked when it rained so they finally sent two guys to fix it and that didn't work either and the trim around the window looks like crap. I had ask Kress to come and look at the quality of his crews work and never showed up and James has yet to repair the rake trim on the roof as promised and it has been four months. To James credit, he did do a fine job on sealing the inside bottom edge of the walls. As you can tell I am very disappointed in the service that one would expect after reading other reviews prior hiring them.

Kress gave me a better price than all. His team was in and out in one day. He did not try to push me to use USSA insurance and took my payment same day. New roof is something that stops my neighbors with what was done, added ridge vent and the new look of a 3d type of shingle. Also, I just went out to pick up what was left and everything around the entire home could fit in one hand. 3 nails, 10 circles, about 15 pieces of felt smaller than a quarter and one piece of paper about 3" x .03" in grass. Truly better than I thought and I am grateful he was family owned and supports our Military :)

This was my first complete roof replacement experience. I have personally met with about eight different company representatives and received their estimates. I knew I had an old roof that may have hidden problems once decking was exposed. Off all the nice people I met, Kress, the owner made the best impression and got the contract. I am a mechanical engineer with an eye for detail and interest in perfection. Two long days with about ten people and a very good crew supervisor, over 20 decking sheets and some structural rot repaired and all my apprehension of the unknown vanished and I was and am extremely happy! Professional, punctual and with the human dimension of a family owned business. Exceptional!

They did a great job. Kress came out to do the estimate and gave us a cost far lower than what I had expected. Had two light tubes installed also that are just great. Crew was friendly and they did a great job of protecting the perimeter of the house and clean up. They even painted the roof jacks and attic turbines to match the shingles.

The owner of the firm, Kress Childs, is the person who came out to inspect the damages. I had a complete estimate of the costs before Kress left the property. The workers arrived on time and completed the job within the time frame estimated. They were courteous and respectful of the property. We had bad weather moving in and they worked hard into the night to make sure all parts of the roof that had old shingles torn off were re-roofed before the storm came in. They did an excellent job of picking up the trash, including all the old nails.

They had to come back do better on the cuts on the sides, and about killed one of my old plantes

The job finallllly got done. It was supposed to be done on 3/2/17 but the roofers and material did not show up that day. No phone call nothing. very disappointed in the customer service since they did not call. Saturday they got rained out so not their fault. yesterday got the roof on and it looks great and they did upgrade the shingles from 30 year to 50 year for no charge (an offer made before 3/8) overall they were ok.
