Texas Remodeling Pros

In January, I researched several companies to complete the installation of a patio on my new home. I wanted to design a composite deck that would stand the test of the years, and found two companies in San Antonio offering the installation services I required. After reviewing the company website, I decided to go with Texas Remodeling Pros as I did like the photos of the work they had recently completed. Their salesman Michael arrived to my home and assessed the size of the upcoming operation. It seemed like a fairly easy process to design and Michael and I discussed my payment options. I consider myself intelligent and am not trying to be ignorant or obtuse about how Michael and I discussed what payment options were available and how I could lower the price. As a veteran, Michael offered me a veterans discount that took the price down from $11,366 to $9,093. He then stated that if I paid in Cash, I could save an additional savings that would bring my total down to $8525 if I did not use my Credit Card. I jumped at the opportunity to save more as the company offered financing, credit cards and a payment of a check as a way to pay. Last week, I made my first deposit from my bank account where the money was debited from my checking account. When the final payment was requested of $4500 yesterday, I questioned Evan as to why I was not given my Cash discount because I paid the money from the cash out of my checking account. She began to speak quickly about me not paying All Cash for my deposit. She stated arrangements were not made to come and pick up the cash from my home. I quickly informed her that no one from Texas Remodeling Pros informed me that they needed to come and pick up CASH from my home for me to get the required Cash Discount. I was quite upset that I felt I was deceived a bit and wanted my discount . Because she had to leave for the day, I did not want to argue back and forth with Evan. I have never had a company require me to pay All Cash for a discount, especially when I did not use my credit card for my initial payment. I write this review so that any other customer seeing an All Cash discount is not bamboozled like I felt I was yesterday. While I enjoy looking at my patio, I did not enjoy the trash the workers left on my property while they were working. I did reach out to the company and they did rectify the issue immediately, but they should encourage their vendors to respect a customers home at all times. Also, I would highly recommend getting multiple bids when utilizing this company. I also considered them for my front circle driveway, but quickly dropped them from the running after a 115K bid was presented to me. I even informed Michael that I had 3 Bids in the 40s and he stated that he was the best (Yeah OK did not go with them. While it is cute, nothing about the patio screams $9000, especially with the few materials that were delivered to complete the construction. All in all, I just recommend you question everything they say and look at the fine details of your contract.

We hired TX Remodeling Pros based on stellar online reviews. They remodeled our kitchen and two bathrooms...they started demo on 11 August and "finished" on 09 November. Aside from normal remodeling headaches (delays, mess, etc), there were numerous quality issues and poor customer service. They damaged our tub and did a pitiful patch job without even telling us it had been damaged. They had to repaint areas of the ceiling because they used two different colors (neither of which were the color we chose). The cabinet doors that we got were not the style we asked for...and instead of apologizing and offering to fix it, their response was that the door we got was more expensive than the one we asked for. One of the bathroom vanities is not the color we asked for. These are just a few of the problems we encountered. We are STILL resolving other issues caused by their work. We have a toilet that has leaked since it was installed...again, instead of offering to fix it, we were told that nothing was wrong because it didn't leak when they flushed it. The kitchen tile has lippage which is far more noticeable because it's a rectified tile, and the grout does not come up to the edge of the tile...it's grouted as if it were a cushioned edge. We have to have the whole kitchen re-tiled. The ceiling in the bathroom was painted two different colors of white and it still shows red guard. They damaged the walls when they removed the baseboards, so we have to have those spots patched and repainted (which they should have done to begin with). Along the way, we pointed out several issues: 1. They built an extension to the kitchen pony wall that had cabinets....it was too short, meaning the cabinets weren't going to fit. We told them this immediately, before cabinets were even on site. Instead of fixing the wall, they shoved the cabinets in, cracking one of the frames...never fixed. 2. That same wall had a visible seam where they built the extension. We pointed this out immediately...it was one of the last things addressed. There are truly too many examples to mention specifically, but hopefully these few are enough to cause you to think twice. Look carefully at the other reviews...some are from employees saying it's a great place to work...nothing to do with customer experiences. They did give us some money back, but it's still not worth it considering what we've spent (and will have to spend) to address the issues they caused.

The results look great

We hired Texas Remodel Professionals to update our kitchen. They provided additional cabinets, plumbing, electrical upgrade, quartz countertop, all new appliances installation. All we had to do was pick out the appliances, countertop, and backsplash. They did an excellent job. We are very satisfied with their work. They even came back after the job was complete to replace a defective faucet.

I don't have a single complaint. But best of the communication was top notch.

Paul is very quick at responding to inquiries. Pricing is very reasonable compared to most. I had a tight schedule, but Paul came through with all the deadlines. They gave me suggestions on where and how to save cost while maintaining overall quality which is very valuable to me.

Our home has a complicated flat roof and deck with railing over a second floor garden room. The roof and deck have already been replaced twice in 15 years. I had other roofers come to assess the problem with no viable solution. Through a reference I found Texas Remodeling. Their plan of action was exactly what I needed. They understood the issue that was causing the leaking and able to replace the current deck with no issue. The roofer assigned was diligent in his work - a complicated five step process which included replacing eaves. The city inspector was pleased to see that the necessary details were addressed to his satisfaction.

Paul and his team did excellent work. They worked with my work schedule and still finished within the allotted timeline. I could not be happier with the results!

I have a small guest bathroom that needed to be renovated in a short span of time. Paul and his team did a wonderful job and completed the job before my guests arrived. The finished result is beautiful and I will use this company for further projects.

It was a great experience working with Paul from quote through completion for our shower remodel. Other contractors that came for an estimate did an hour sales pitch before revealing the cost which was way out of budget. Paul, on the other hand, was very low pressure and did not try to up-sale anything. His quote was quick, accurate, and the most affordable. The construction went smoothly and the installers were friendly and timely. Paul was easy to get a hold of throughout the process and we are very happy with the final result. Highly recommend.

I had a really good remodeling experience with the Remodeling Dude. We had water damage from an undersink leak, and Paul worked with our insurance company to help maximize coverage of what needed replacing. They built new cabinets to order and stained them the color that I wanted. They waited until cabinets were ready and all other materials were in hand before demoing my kitchen. Then they installed lower cabinets, new granite counter tops, and new backsplash tile in 4 days! I love the way my kitchen turned out and am pretty happy with the whole experience. I plan on calling Paul in a couple of years when we're ready to replace our upper cabinets as well.
